Santana

Papelbon ? / Whoever

I just got off the Phone with NAS. He said if you listen closely to the intro he not saying **** Jayz. He knew one day a cat name Joey would play himself on realgm. Ether was meant to be used in the future. :o

Buccholz will be the 5th guy. Schilling is gonna suck. Matzusaka I'm not sure about. Beckett won't be THAT good again. Santana who knows how he does in Fenway (he hasn't done well there), and Buccholz could be really good but he's in about the same position as our youngins. I don't think it will happen anyway.

Curt Schilling is still Curt Schilling, they will get to October, he will dominate...if the Red Sox get Santana they win the next two World Series...its that simple.

LOL It's that simple? They barely got out of the ALCS last year. A lot can happen.

Why is it over? Did Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz never lose a game or a series?

That's a scary rotation, but I don't think Schilling has much left. I'm not going to sweat it though, the Yankees rotation is far inferior but that's why you play the games.

In the past 3 years this is how the Yankees do against the greatest pitching staff of all time:

Beckett vs. Yankees: 6.56 ERA, 4-3, .303 BAA
Santana vs. Yankees: 2.66 ERA, 2-0, .250 BAA
Schilling vs. Yankees: 4.70 ERA, 4-6, .273 BAA
Matsuzaka vs. Yankees: 6.12 ERA, 2-1, .240 BAA
Laptop Stealer vs. Yankees: No Data

I'll even throw in some free ones. Here is Papelbon and Okajima
Papelbon vs. Yankees: 2.25 ERA, 0-2, 4 SV, 6SVO, .145 BAA
Okajima vs. Yankees: 8.38 ERA, 1-0, 1 SV, 2 SVO, .293 BAA

Hardly dominant. The only ones you can say that have had real success is Papelbon and Santana. It looked like we figured Papelbon out in the second half of last year. If Santana pitches against us a few more times, I'm sure he will be figured out as well. It's hardly the end of the world. -Jitpal

There still a better team, think positively all you want.
