Trade 1:

Mke: Dieng, Kenrich, #12
Okc: Brook

Trade 2:

Mke: Carsuo, Stewart, Moody
Chi: Kenrich, Marjon, #12
Gsw: Bobby
Det: GP2, Pat, #23

Dame
Caruso/Dre/Green
Khris/Moody
Giannis/Dieng/Livingston
Stewart/#33

Our salary would fall enough to get below the second apron, and I think unlock the tpmle. I’d probably want to use that on front court help. I’d prefer to keep Kenrich, and send out Dieng, but then I don’t think the trade is legal.

There's no intriguing guards or combo forwards in our price range. There is some intriguing centers.

The guard we need will need to be acquired in trade

THT is the cheap “take a flyer” guard to look at.

Lonnie Walker IV, Aaron Holiday, Gary Harris, and Kris Dunn are other guard options.

Erased him to make room for '2024. There is a character limit in the signature. Semi was my 3rd option. Hartenstein was on the top of list till John Collins dropped suprisingly to our spot. I can't prove it cause I got banned for posting "Kennard gone" when he was drafted. So in a real situation I am drafting John Collins and of course I am picking Hartenstein with a cheap 2nd he went #43 (we had #46 and picked Sterling Brown).
So yeah I am reall picking both John Collins and I. Hartenstein ... efing insane value. What a stop gap at the PF/C position would that be... on the other hand ... Bucks Professional Front Ofiice ... hey John Henson here is 40m for 4 years, hey Tony Snell here is 48m for 4y with a player option cause I want to hear "Thank you" , haven't heard your voice for 2 years.

The difference between

J.Collins + Hartenstein

and

DJ Wilson + Sterling Brown

is HUGE . A good GM like current Dallas can turn the ship in a year or two. A bad GM can ruin your assets and have zero players under your development program for the next 4-5 years or more.

Gary Harris just finished a playoff series, in which he started and played 26 minutes a game, but averaged just 4 ppg on 28% shooting. We have better.

Caruso is a good target, but I doubt Chicago says yes to that. They've always maintained wanting 2- 1sts for Caruso, and they've proven they're content never making a trade. They last asked for Kumminga in a Caruso trade.

I think you can get more for Bobby though.

I think a lottery pick and a prospect is a damn good offer for Caruso. The bulls can ask for 2 firsts, but it sounds like those offers never came, and ultimately pick 12 is worth more than 2 picks in the 20’s.

I agree that we are probably owed more value for Bobby. We could insist on TJD, and then send out Livingston somewhere, or ask for a bunch of seconds.

I also think they were mostly posturing in the past and never wanted to trade him, but I think they’ve been signaling interest in moving in a different direction this off-season.

Looking back and after his new deal with the Celtics we should have never traded Holiday. Jrue + Midds both at 30ish money would be awesome deals next to Giannis and with the cap going up Bucks would still be able to add another (super)max contract.

Horst should have sticked to Brook + Bobby + Pat + picks route and go all in with a player that has similar timeline with Giannis. Too bad it’s too late for that.

Read the Bulls board a bit and few seem to think they keep Caruso or rebuild. Resigned to the treadmill basically.

One poster mentioned enticing a bidding war for Caruso amongst playoff teams imagining he has an Aaron Gordon effect….but Chicago seems more likely to pull a half hearted package like Orlando did than that.

The board seems to think DeRozan is coming back but that Billy Donovan is going to redouble efforts to get LaVine out of there. Also found this which is hilarious:

Oh and whatever we get for Bobby and Pat.

Dark man... Real dark.

If this is how you feel, isn't the move to replace the front office, rather than make higher stakes moves with a front office you have no faith in?

A big man who I think could be had cheaply as his team looks for bigger fish is Paul Reed.

I don’t think he’s likely to be a starter, but I do think he’s a rotational big who’s more defensively active than 95% of the league.

He’s absolutely a target worth keeping an eye on.

Regardless, if you don't trust them to make small moves, you shouldn't be advocating for them to make big moves.
