Spurs should aim to get him

He still has two more years under contract. He's not a free agent until the summer of 2026.

Since he was a second rounder (right?) we can’t lock him into the usual rookie extension. He’ll hit unrestricted free agency. Or is there any possibility of offering him a large extension or are we restricted by the usual rules regarding raises?

We might get put in a position of choosing between him and Mathurin, but Mathurin is a higher ceiling guy and more of a sure bet to keep on a second contract extension, which makes the choice look pretty probable that we choose Mathurin barring a huge trade.

Just another reminder for people who think second round picks have no value.

I'm glad Turner is playing physical and pissed. About time someone from Pacers is.

Well. At least I don't think the Pacers are gonna let him get away.

It might get dicey to afford him with the Pasal max and Hali supermax plus Turner extension. Every team is going to have to make tough choices.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

If the Pacers elect to make him a free agent after his third season, then he would be a RFA. Thunder signed Lu Dort to a 4 year deal. They elected to make him a RFA after his third year. Pelicans did the same with Herb Jones. This doesn't mean they will feel they can afford him, but they don't have to lose him.

Should’ve been a second tech on Turner. Tatum has received techs for way less than that. Be consistent

As someone rooting for Indy, get Turner out of there. Those were correct calls, he's just having dumb play after dumb play. 3 straight TO's

Good to know! I think I remember reading that now that you can still get RFA on a second rounder with a 4 year deal. Used to be they always hit UFA if I’m not mistaken.
