Confused how Mavs success is nightmare for Miami fans. I don't have any residual ill will for Dallas just because Miami split 2 finals trips with them. Do you all also hate Dirk? Outside of a pipe dream of Luka leaving Dallas for Miami, I see no reason to be at odds with Dallas.

Also re the Celtics--they have the worst pick and roll defense of any team in these playoffs. If Haliburton and Nembhard are giving them headaches, then they might have a rude awakening in the finals. I like the Mavs against the celtics as long as Luka can stay right.

It's not so much the franchise to me, though from that aspect they're worse than the Wolves, but I personally don't like fluka (white harden) or the flat earther (self explanatory). Still, much better option than the Celtics.

Mostly that Luka would be a FA target, and I have residual ill will towards Jason Terry and JJ Barea that can never be quelled lol

We just witnessed the pinnacle of Jayson Tatum's career. Throwing the ball in the air as they defeat the mighty Indiana Pacers.

It's all downhill from here.

Thru 2024/25 season, after that DWhite/AHorford drops off and Tatum gets a new contract due to his Player Option.

Satisfied to have not watched. Finals going to be an easy skip for me if that series goes off the rails like this one did

Rooting for Luka and Kyrie. The only one I hate is Mark Cuban when he criticized the refs and Wade in 06 finals. But it's a healthy rivalry, like with the Spurs.

TBH Outside of Tim Legler, can't recall anyone who had the Mavs in the Finals at the start of the playoffs!

yes this was quite the surprised. I thought Luka & Kyrie wouldn't get this far since they both need the ball and the Kyrie antics but I forgot Kyrie made it work with LBJ in Cleveland.

Extremely surprised by the 3-0 lead but IIRC someone in here said that Minny was in trouble cuz Dallas is a serious matchup issue for 'em.

I'm not sure if you mean me ...

Minny can take Dallas and whoever comes out of the east. They are taking the chip.

Irony for Jimmy is that KAT might get a chip, and Jimmy likely won’t at this point.

The Mavs have two guys that can break down a defense, so it may not be as easy as you think. Trying to contain Luka and Kyrie at the same time is going to be a headache.

But I didn't go so far as to say that Minny was in trouble. I did say the series wasn't going to be the cakewalk that everyone was predicting for the Wolves. But I'm as surprised as everyone else that the series is 3-0 Mavs. No one could have predicted that KAT would be playing this bad.

Playoffs are about matchups indeed, its been proven time and time again. Everyone saw the team that was built to take down the Denver Nuggets in T-wolves and said them guys are going to go win a chip versus anybody. However that's not how basketball works, Dallas with their having great defenders big, tall, mobile to do the dirty work around Kyrie & Luka, and just let those guys pick and roll T-wolves slow footed bigs to death is why were here. That's the difference here were seeing the West matchups swinging from one style to the next.

Miami's small ball heavy switching defense only works on perimeter heavy teams that don't punish you inside with scoring from their bigs. Which is why we are successful out on the Eastern conference, there aren't a lot of teams here built that way, Embiid is the only one but hes far too injury prone to ever matter. Milwaukee was that at one point but Brook Lopez looks old past his expiration and Miami can cancel out Giannis with Bam. A healthy Miami team would be a better matchup for a team like Dallas

Rozier
Robinson
Jimmy
KAT
Bam

Doesn't look bad at all.

Understand the idea but do not believe in KAT.

Jacking up bricks while Ant is out there doing everything to keep Minny in this series.

I can’t stand KAT but I don’t understand this stance. Edwards has been ass this series too and had like 4 points in the 4th of a winnable game where he looked like he didn’t even want to touch the ball, 2 of his points in the 4th came down 10 with 10 seconds left or something. He definitely shrunk and I don’t understand the inside the nba guys gassing him up after scoring 26 points on 24 shots in a must win game.
