Yep. At the end of the day, #2 through #8 in the East finished the season being within 4 games of each other and the Pacers were smack-dab in this group throughout the season. Not a lot of separation there.
Pacers only needed to take care of business against the lowly Blazers and Bulls to be the #2 seed.

The nature of the Pacers losses in the playoffs were no shock to those of us who watched the regular season. The team has lacked poise. There was improvement over the course of the playoffs but it ultimately bit them against the Celtics, who were a straight up superior team.
As Pacers fans we’re looking for growth, especially in these clutch situations. By the way, our two recent top ten picks didn’t really play this series. One was injured and the other is a raw rookie. The future feels plenty bright here in Pacer land we have plenty to work with for the future.
