Kyle Anderson has been great this series, he’s exploiting Dallas’ defensive scheme (not gap coverage like Phoenix and Denver) exceptionally well.

If you watch these games, you can't say that both teams aren't watching film. Sometimes, it's just one or two plays that makes all of the difference. That was one of them. Gobert screening and re-screening to get Ant open for the 22-footer to put them up 5, 102-97 was another one.

I was infuriated when this happened, SloMo is screaming the play and Kyrie still dies on the screen and Luka is asleep.

Finch followed his instincts and didn't listen to the voices outside who were calling to bench Gobert and play Kyle Anderson and Naz Reid.

The TWolves repeated the gameplan of game 3: trap Luka, force him to kick it the roll man, clog up the paint and live on the Mavs trying to hit 3s. As long as the Mavs aren't dominating the paint, they have a chance.

The problem is that the Mavs, despite not shooting well, were still in this game till the very end. So, it feels like the inevitable has been delayed.

Shout out to Jaden Hardy as well. 13 points tonight. If Kyrie and Luka played just a little better, more people would be talking about his performance. This bodes well for him next year.

Previous 3 games were all close going into final minutes. All these experts go on and on about pure nonsense when Dallas big 2 delivered and Minnesota's top 2 scorers did not, especially KAT. they score more efficiently and then win. So where is all the same talk now? You can't win with guys shooting 5/18.

Lol. So now the difference between winning and losing for the mavs, is if Lively is playing or not lol. Smh

Why is that funny? Lively is a team best +109 and Gafford is a team worst -56. He's their most important role player, and even more important in this series given Minny's coverages. Minny doesn't throw 2 at Luka and Kyrie when Lively is on for a reason.

He’s the 5th 6th best player on the team. Those are just excuses to not get it done.

I doubt any of the Wolves players join the TNT telecast with Green there.

Prob goes without saying but it's such a bizarre decision to stick Draymond in there when he has a very public and longstanding grudge against a key Wolves player. Wouldn't blame them for refusing to join the show.

Completely agree

I swear I feel like Gobert went there, then saw Draymond and turned back lol. They've had a player from the winning team join them every game so far but not today

Yeah I really think Dray is who keeping them away.

I fully expect a blowout in game 5, and our game 7 is gonna be on Saturday on our home floor. If we don't finish it then, we are f***ed. I knew the Lively injury will be that significant on both ends. It completely changed the complexity of how we attack, and it complete changed how we defend. It sucks to be that reliant on a rookie, but it shows how good he already is, and how good he can be in the future. Kudos to Minny, they were definitely the tougher, more mentally resilient team today, in a lot of scenarios this is a blowout to them, I felt they were significantly better today, and the game shouldn't have been this close, if we are being honest.

If it makes you feel better, Minnesota is garbage on their home floor.

I'm hoping all the fair-weathers will sell their tickets to the diehards like Game 6 of last series

He's moving forward, that's a foul everytime, what was removed is when players jump up and the offensive player lunges into them, and even then, they still whistle it from time to time.

You're coming across as clueless. Lively has been their 3rd best player. If you haven't watched their games because you've been busy with the Celtics, fine but don't post as if you know what's going on. If you've been watching them and this is your take, yikes...

Those plays aren't what happened today. The 2 defenders in these clips were coming down in front of the defender. KAT was going to land in Luka's space. Again, I hate that call, but they usually call it a defensive foul.

I have been saying it for most of the series, the big men have been the biggest difference for Dallas.

You can say Dallas lost because of Kyrie's struggles, but how many of his struggles had to do with not having a second healthy rotational-quality center out there? Going small really isn't the answer against this team, as Town had 25 and Gobert had 13/10. Ant was driving to the cup all game too.

There is room for interpretation, Wiggins finished the contest inside the 3 pt line and Luka move forward was VERY excessive and unnatural, it didn't qualify here, KAT leg was under his landing space.

Towns landed before Luka jumped, what are we talking about? How is that a foul and not what Wiggins did in the video? Luka jumped at an abnormal angle, initiated more than marginal contact with a player that was grounded. How on earth is that a defensive foul?

https://ibb.co/Q9V7tBJ he’s got both feet on the floor before Luka leaves the ground and he’s clearly leaning into towns initiating contact

For sure . That’s a clear offensive foul or no call. Calling it on towns was a bad call. It happens.

Basically the same play put him in foul trouble last game in the first quarter and now it was called as his 6th foul. Happens a little too often

But it’s Scott foster’s call who was literally rooting for that phantom foul three pointer to go in. Nothing surprising
