Why is that funny? Lively is a team best +109 and Gafford is a team worst -56. He's their most important role player, and even more important in this series given Minny's coverages. Minny doesn't throw 2 at Luka and Kyrie when Lively is on for a reason.

He’s the 5th 6th best player on the team. Those are just excuses to not get it done.

He's their third-best player by a comfortable margin. Have you even watched the Powell minutes?
Luka didn't have a lob partner in the first half. Gafford finally did a little but Doncic and Kyrie repeatedly had to kick out near the rim, leading to turnovers and bad 3 shooters. But much credit to Wolves D, they stepped up.

it won't change because NBA rewards the worst refs in the league with the biggest games....Ed Malloy, Scott Foster, Tony Brothers, Marc Davis, etc

I want the Mavs to win and be healthy so we have a fun finals - but this is outrageous.

Mavs fans can’t be happy with how that game was officiated - because imagine if the refs annoint the Celtics and they lose a series with Luka with 5 fouls in the 3rd and kyrie with 4 and gafford and lively with 4 a peice.

Luka would jumped unnaturally towards the referee to whine the moment he feels the slightest resistance. Crazy he jumps a lot more in that situation than he plays basketball.

As someone who doesn’t watch Luka on the regular, if this is him hardly complaining, I can’t imagine him going full board. It’s hard to watch him jawing at the refs every time down.
