Welp, Luka and Kyrie came up short in Game 4. It was bound to happen, heavily reliant as they on production from those two, and difficult shots in the doing.

We'll see what happens in Game 5. I wonder if Lively will be back?

winner of game 5 wins the series IMO

if the Wolves get a taste of comeback they'll write history to be the first team to ever overcome an 0-3 deficit

Doubt it. But it would be best for the Mavericks to close the door now. Don't let them linger.

If Towns stays aggressive and keeps attacking the basket, they'll get this Game 5 too. Those inside passes to Gobert under the rim are just unguardable.

Game 6 is the game. Minny taking game 5

Game 6 is a Dallas max effort. That's the hardest game for Minny to win

It's very difficult to win 4 in a row against a stacked team like Wolves.

We don't have any new injuries, we checked that Powell is unplayable, we are able to shoot better on most nights.

next play!

Not a great sign Minny couldn't win one convincingly as the more desperate team..but...it's not how the series has been. I don't think Dallas has let off the gas.

We'll see what happens tomorrow, I suppose. If they get Lively back and he can play, then it should be done. If he doesn't, and SlowMo on Doncic works twice, then this will get very interesting.

Every time a team is up 3-0 someone says 'eventually someone is going to come back from that'. It nearly happened (and should have happened) last year with Boston and Miami.

I think Minny wins game 5 and Dallas wins game 6. But stranger things have happened.

you guys almost did it to Dallas 20 year ago. And it gave us both the amazing "Both teams played hard" presser and the Nick Van Exel "Soft White Boys" moments.

The 3 stars have too many offensive flaws that shave their ORtg to believe they can comeback, Towns picks up too many fouls on both sides of the floor, Edwards is a tunnel vission passer who only makes the safe pass, Gobert has butterfingers as a roll threat and is uncoordinated in posting.

All of their role players have stepped up except Alexander-Walker. At some point Doncic and Irving's CF experience and clutch gene will kick in and eliminate them.

Interesting stat...

Anthony Edwards had 8 FTAs in the 1st quarter yesterday. And it continued a series trend...

He has 18 FTAs in the 1st quarter of the past 3 games. He has 8 FTAs in the other 13 quarters combined.

I don't have research behind this, but he seems to drive early to set up his pull-up later

Minny got KG in the house for game 5 according to Kendrick Perkins.

No way they lose that building will be electrifying. Mavs will have to close this out in 6.

I don't have research either, but I imagine fatigue is probably a factor as well. Luka has similar tendencies where he explodes in 1st quarters and by the 4th its different.

Now I know Edwards isn't fat like Luka....but he clearly has looked gassed at times late in games.

Could also be he hears the criticism after games and so starts games doing what all the pundits say he should do and then sorta settles back into a more natural rhythm.

Could also be he feels a responsibility to be a tone setter early to allow his teammates to settle into the game.

Doncic had a terrible game 4 and he resorted to fishing for cheap fouls as he is apt to do when his shot isn't falling ala Harden. If that continues in game 5 I can easily see the T-Wolves pulling off another win.
