Makes me sad to think how we've lost so many legends during this rebuild/the Brad Stevens era.

We still got The Cooz! Might want to get it done this year. The Cooz is 95 years old.

Adam Himmelsbach in the Globe:
We’ve reported here all along that the Celtics are reluctant to provide a timeline for Kristaps Porzingis’s return from the calf strain he suffered April 28 because they just don’t know.
It has taken slightly longer than some initial internal projections, but league sources stressed this week that Porzingis has not suffered any setbacks and remains on track to be back during the Finals. The team obviously will monitor his progress closely in the coming days.

I suspect we won't see him at all this season. The J's are going to have to bring us home.

Yeah, this doesn't look good. The timeline keeps being pushed back every time there's an "update". A week ago they were saying Game 4 of the ECF and now he's on track for "during the Finals". We've seen this movie before. I'll be surprised if we see him out there at all at this point.

Okay this is worth bitching about for the second time.. But having 10 **** days off between games seems like an absolute joke to me..

It's not because I'm a Boston Celtic addict who won't have my fix for 10 days..

But it certainly doesn't help..
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

It has been this way for years.

The only difference is the Cs swept their opponent.

If the Pacers won Game 4 then there will be a Celtics game today and their rest will not be 10 days.

It would be really disappointing if this dude isn't starting game 1. 5.5 weeks of rest for a 2-3 week injury. Nobody is 100% at this point in the season.

Sam needs a good slap on the face to wake up. We definitely need his shooting in the finals. When Sam and PP plays well, we usually blow our opponents out.

Anyone else think it might be a good idea to bring KP off the bench in the finals?

-The starting 5 that was in there for the past 10 games is in a good rhythm.
-Bringing him off the bench makes it easier to manage his minutes, keep his mins low enough so he doesn't get hurt again

You obviously move him back into the starting lineup next season..but just for this one series, I'm fine with bringing him off the bench..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

No kidding, right? All of the legends that I heard stories about growing up are leaving us.

I remember exactly where I was when I found out Tommy passed. Was with my wife and soon to be one year old at a park in killingly CT. It's the only time in my life where I felt genuine sadness over a celebrity or athlete passing. Like a punch in the gut. It felt like we all knew him personally. Such a huge part of my childhood. It truly sucks that these guys won't be around to see 18.
