An important qualification.
Everyone focuses on the vets Conley (36), Gobert (31), Anderson (30) and Towns (28) and assumes that Minnesota is this aging team with no path to improve, but the other half of that 8-man rotation is Edwards (22), McDaniels (23), Reid (24) and Alexander-Walker (25). Anderson is the only one of the eight not currently locked into a contract for next season. If they want to, they could easily run it back.
It's really not all that different from the 2019-20 Nuggets. Their 8-man playoff rotation balanced veterans Millsap (34), Plumlee (29), Craig (29) with younger players Murray (22), Porter (21), Jokic (24), Morris (24) and Grant (25).
First round: Down 3-1 to Jazz, won in 7 games
Semifinals: Down 3-1 to Clippers, won in 7 games
Finals: Lost in 5 to Lakers
Were they dumb to not blow it up because they were so streaky in their first WCF run as a group?
