James Borrego Has 2nd Interview With Lakers

James Borrego had a second interview with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday.


Borrego is also a candidate for the Cleveland Cavaliers' head coaching vacancy.


Borrego has a strong reputation for player development including serving as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs for a decade. Borrego also has head coaching experience with the Charlotte Hornets.


Borrego is currently an assistant coach with the New Orleans Pelicans.

I'm staying away from the Lakers Head Coaching gig, until LeBron retires.

Depends on what you value more, the guaranteed money you'll get after (inevitably) being fired before those 5 years are up vs. not having the stain on your coaching record/reputation of having been part of this mess in LA.
