Reclamation project Andrew Wiggins with 3 first and Paul's expiring. I'm down. We can use Paul's 30 million contract with those picks as contract matching trade bait.

That’s a great trade idea. Paul can also help give Terry and Herro some vets knowledge. All things being equal we would prefer to send him out west.

Wiggins,Paul, and picks for Butler swap is probably as good as it's going to get for the soon to be 35 year old Butler who wants an extension and has a player opt. I'm so down to send him to the West Coast and let him, Draymond, and Curry cook for those Warriors for one last dance.

We would still be very competitive with Paul and Wiggins until something of a greater magnitude opens up. We'd have the matching contract and picks to dance in any deal that pops up. Love this for us

If the price is three first round picks, Golden State could only send '25, '27, and '29 fwiw.

GS does not have their '24 or '30 FRPs.

On another note.....g-d damn we are talking about 2030 FRPs....we are old as **** man

picks can help you get the pieces that you'll need for your team either right away or someday.

Crazy attempt -

To Heat - Brandon Ingram, Jonathan Kuminga, Gabe Vincent, 2025 GS Pick, 2029 GS Pick
To Warriors - Jimmy Butler
To Lakers - Chris Paul
To Pelicans - De'Angelo Russell, Caleb Martin, Kevon Looney (all expiring), Brandin Podziemski, and a 2027 GS 1st

Then

To Heat - Donovan Mitchell
To Cavs - Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr, 2025 GS 1st, 2 pick swaps

Gabe Vincent/Terry Rozier
Donovan Mitchell/Josh Richardson
Brandon Ingram/Duncan Robinson
Nikola Jovic/Jonathan Kuminga
Bam Adebayo/Kevin Love

+ pick 15 to work with

To be honest, I'm not sure how much better we get trading Jimmy

Terry/Pick 15
Mitchell/JRich
Jimmy/Duncan
Jovic/MLE type guy
Bam/Love

that team probably has a better chance to go far.

Next crazy attempt

To Heat - Donovan Mitchell, Max Strus, Dean Wade, Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., pick #3, 2025 Houston 1st (more favorable), 2027 Houston 1st, 2029 Houston 1st

To Rockets - Jimmy Butler

To Cleveland - Dillon Brooks, Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez, 2025 Houston 1st (less favorable), 1 pick swap with each team

Front office saying they don’t like picks is the reason they can’t make any deals for whales. Completely archaic thinking if this is the way they want to continue to operate in this era. Free agency is pretty much dead for stars. You need picks, young players, and expiring contracts to be a needle mover in this market. We are also not in a position to get greedy with these teams. We can cause a bidding war sure but if we play too hard the end result is a pissed off Jimmy on a player opt looking to make everyone in the building as miserable as possible.

just saying

If its built into a 3 team deal where you’re immediately swinging those picks for an impact star, sure. But to use “someday”? Not this organization’s M.O. There’s no real precedent for that kind of deal with a player of Jimmy’s caliber here and I dont believe they’ll start now. In fact I think at this point all the hacks (national and local) are making this more of a story than what it is, I’ll be shocked if a deal isnt done to extend Jimmy.

Hou for #3, Jabari Smith, and Green

Draft castle or Topic

And I’ll still likely say no but at least I wouldn’t be snoring when Hou calls

If Jimmy is traded it will be for pennies on the dollar like most trades unfortunately. Especially if Jimmy goes to war with our front office.

We wont get an allstar in return but we can get a ton of picks with added to our current ones + young players would be enough to get Mitchell and still have some assets to make another move. Sixers want him and the minimum they would offer 3 1st rounders. And if we do it post draft, I think we can get up to 5 picks. So it wont be pennies on the dollars. And I see NO making a move or even the Knicks who have ton of picks. There are teams who would take a chance at him but we would have to work with Butler to get to a place where he can get that extension

Just do right by Jimmy. Build a contender, if you can't then trade him to a contender. He deserves it

If we're going to ship Jimmy, we should do it to the contender that gives us the best return - irrespective of conference.

Return to Miami Heat
