P.S. Just realized Gafford only played 20 minutes though he still had 9 boards, more than Gobert's 5 in 26 minutes. So still better.

biggest challenge for boston is if their crowd can root against a white guy in the finals. we'll see if they can do it

The problem with Gobert is that he does only one thing well.

And the thing he does well is simply not as important as scoring points.

Offense is more valuable than defense.

Minn got killed when they played Kyle Anderson with gobert in the first quarter. If defense wins championships they wouldn’t have instantly gone down 20 points the moment you play 2 net negative offensive players at the same time

I remember that one series against Denver in the bubble when Gobert was killing the Nuggets and Jokic with the layups.

https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/rudy-gobert-playoff-2020

17 points, 11.4 rebounds. But the Jazz was actually way better fit - D-Mitch was penetrating and throwing, Conley was penetrating and throwing, even Joe fricking Ingles was doing it.

You gonna tell me he can't do the same stuff Gafford and Lively do should he play alongside Luka and Kyrie? Come on now. Its all about fits.

No joke, I guarantee there are lots of conflicted Celtics fans rn. Luckily they can hate on Kyrie.

Doncic decided the game right away in the first quarter. Will be interesting to see how Boston defends Luka and Kyrie. I wouldn't be too surprised if Dallas wins the series although I'd still favor Boston slightly....but they have been unimpressive really. We'll see if they were just cruising or if they legitimately are not as good as we all thought.

Gonna be an interesting finals regardless. You can see how close things are in the NBA. If SGA does not foul on that final play of game 6 we may be talking OKC right now. But Dallas has been playing really really well.
