I'm glad i did not wake up early to see that. WE run out of gas. No one was able to carry the team tonight. Still a fantastic season. Go Wolves!

Well that sucked. Oh well. We still have Ant and 29 other teams wish they had him.

Probably put you to sleep about watching for 15 mins anyway. It's not even as close as the final score suggested.

I'm ready for a new coach. If you want to win a title, Finch is not it.
Can we get real? Minnesota is not firing their coach who brought them to their first Western Conference Finals in two decades.
Criticizing the coaching is one thing, but this is just super silly.
I agree! I criticize Finchy but no way we replace him. I wish he wouldn't get so stubborn before he mixes it up but he's learning too. These opportunities can be rare. Its such a shame to go out the way we did.
I don't expect Finch to be fired, but I don't think he is coach that is capable of winning a title or maximizing talent, so might as well try to upgrade coach. Trading KAT when he's coming off an injury because of one bad series makes even less sense to me.

Great season, I didn't think we had what it takes to be at title contender yet (felt we were at least 1-2 years away from being mature enough) but this team surprised me and we had a chance to get there this season. I am sad we couldn't pull it off and as competitive as the west is, there is no guarantee we will be back here soon but I am still excited about the future of this squad. These are the kinds of experiences that build championship teams.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

Name the coach

Hopefully Minnesota will be better next year, with Anthony Edwards improving and Jaden McDaniels hopefully becoming more consistent offensively. There is room for growth.
Dallas wasn't even a playoff team last year and LAC and OKC put up a better fight against Dallas, than Wolves.
Why does it matter whether Dallas was a playoff team last year?

We should always look to get better, but continuity can be underrated. We have young players that can still get better. I don’t think running it back would be the worst thing in the world.

I would run it back as well. Ant took huge strides in this playoffs alone as a playmaker. Jaden Naz and Ant should all get better next year

Dallas hit homeruns with signing DJJ and Exum on minimum contracts last offseason
if Wolves can get similar level success with their limited options, they wouldn't have much of a drop off

Re: Game 5 WCF - Do or Die reloaded
Yeah was no chance from get go with Doncic coming in with 20 pts with first 8 minutes, and him Kyrie scoring like 40 each lol, unguardable scorers. So many ridiculous contested 3s they shot. Big parts of the game they almost average together as much as rest of our team (our effort was so low into it, like they were glad to avoided sweep). Generate easy buckets while each our 2s were so tough to even touch rim.
In other end no one but Kat and Ant could buy a bucket for us when this were going out of hand, no help from our bench. You can't let then go on several 20+ pts down in different runs in same game and think you will compete. Insane.
Finch should never be fired, but he needs to hire offensive assistant coaches to help him, because it was kinda ridiculous, first quarter we tried to play through Gobert as 1st option? Was so surreal. And 2nd half trying to wittle down the big gap by force feeding Slowmo corner 3s. It wouldnt hurt to actually discernible offensive gameplan with plays that makes it a more fluid offense.
Personnel for our limited offense was allways the issue, and why I'm shocked we went as far as we did despite it, but still they could use more help from coaching side.
Either way, dissapointing end to an overall marvellous season. This off season will be super interesting and important to follow.
P.S I hope this playoffs taught those of you who think plugging in Naz as starter for a traded away Kat, is good idea. This entire playoffs besides 2 games Naz has been really poor. No show.

Re: Game 5 WCF - Do or Die reloaded
The one main positive throughout all of this is "experience". The team (Ant specifically) got to see what "true" superstars look like and how they operate. They operate at their own pace and rarely get speed up by the defense.
This is something Ant can work on as he still moves a bit fast. Team USA with the stars should be a great experience for him when it comes to learning, how to train, and how to take care of your body. Whatever LBJ and Steph do, he needs to do the same.

I think if we got what we initially wanted DONTE
DIVINCENZO instead of those two other guys. We could still be playing.

Re: Game 5 WCF - Do or Die reloaded
In game 4 they played like a team that didn't want to get swept.
In game 5 they played like a team that didn't want to get swept.
Disappointing how not close the game was, especially on their home court, especially after how close the previous games were. Honestly I don't think it was Luka's first quarter barrage that broke them. There's still 3 more quarters, you're at home, he's not scoring 20 in every quarter, etc. It was when the Mavs came out in the 2nd quarter and were hustling all over the court, making shots, etc.
As I kept watching Doncic hit shot after shot while looking at the same spot in the crowd I was thinking "I bet there's some dummy taunting him". Sure enough, apparently someone kept waving a towel or something to insinuate that he's a cry baby. Unless you're Anthony Jeselnik, you sit there quietly and politely and show that man the utmost respect.

Wolves played bad and Luka had a hot night. We need to figure out our offense to stay close. Whatever the fans are doing is overrated.
