The only thing I would hate about trading away Jimmy is that he epitomizes who we are and embodies our identity. Without him, I don't think we have an identity unless we bring in Mitchell somehow

Jimmy is gone. When there is chatter about your star player leaving it's a matter of when, not if.
When your star player leaves, you're going to suck for a few years until you get his replacement. That's just how it goes in the NBA. Brace yourselves this offseason is going to be the worst for us since 2014, some dark years await us.

Though am for trading JB, am not so sure if the Heat FO will actually go thru with it. But am in the camp to turn the page and get young talent to run with Bam's timeline.

Swap Jimmy with a better regular season scorer, Duncan with Herro who’s a better fit, then Wiggins and kuminga who are better all around players than Herro and in kumingas case have far high potential, stay tuned

This past season was pretty dark. One of the most lifeless, boring Heat teams I can remember.

If you thought the spacing was bad now it'll be way worst in my opinion. Kuminga, Wiggins to an extent, and Bam all basically play around the same spots offensively. Wiggins is also on a serious decline.

Just give Jimmy his extension. Heat would’ve been a first round exit or not making the playoffs in the past 5 years if jimmy weren’t here. Heat need to get of their high rse and pay the man.

Also helps PJ have 2 scoring God teammates to get all the attention on defense. His job is easier in Dallas.

Dallas build

C Derek Lively Daniel Gafford- 2 young energy bigs who rebound, screen, roll to basket, finish with authority, and protect the paint.

PF PJ Washington- Stretch PF who also plays tough at 6’7 230

SF Derrick Jones Jr- High flying 6’6 3 and D once was a former Heat player tasked at playing small ball 4. Plays SF in the proper build for Mavs.

SG Kyrie Irving- 6’3 superstar guard who’s on the smaller side but plays with a big PG. Is well protected defensively by surrounding pieces

PG Luka Doncic- 6’8 Big superstar PG. Essentially a 3/4 who’s an unstoppable force. Best big PG since Magic Johnson

Well played Mavs. That’s how you roster build around two super star guards.

Daniel Gafford also very unheralded addition. Dallas having two young energy bigs who can finish with authority, rebound, screen, rotate on defense, and protect the paint is huge. We had cement footed Kevin Love at backup Center along with non defensive scrub Bryant, and slow poke Orlando Robinson. Front office takes no accountability at the piss poor roster build. Talk about so many wasted roster spots on our roster this year.

Caleb Martin would fit like a glove on that Dallas team. Maybe they look to S&T for him in offseason to deepen that bench.

The problem is that paying him doesn't get you the last 5 years, it gets you an extra year 3 years down the road from now.

PF Nikola Jovic 6'10 PF Caleb Martin 6'5 PF/SF Haywood Highsmith 6'5

SF Jimmy Butler 6'7 SF Jaime Jaquez Jr 6'6

SG Tyler Herro 6'5 SG Duncan Robinson 6'7 SG/SF Josh Richardson 6'5

PG Terry Rozier 6'1 PG Delon Wright 6'4 PG Patty Mills 6'0

We need a serious house cleaning in the front court.

Nah. Heat have always tried to be the tough team that play and practices hard. Heal culture was a thing before Jimmy. As long as Pat is around that what the identity of this team will be. After he leaves Spo might be able to take over and be the figurehead of the franchisee

One of the main reasons We're having an hard time to build a balanced roster because we have 2 unusual leading man - Jimmy and Bam.

No other team in the league have 2 players, their best players, highest paid players - be non shooting and not natural scorers. It doesn't exists anywhere else.

It a lot easier to add defenders, energy bigs, limited S&D wings - when you have a Luka and Kyrie in place.

You add PJ Washington, Gafford and Derrick Jones to Jimmy and Bam - and we'll look like chit.
No spacing, no creation - we'll be a bottom 5 offense.

We need to add pieces that fit or abnormal core - we need to bring in star scorer who is efficient and can create for himself, We also need shooters with size that can defend and create a little, we need a POF defender, also need overall size and athleticism from the bench.

Basically If we can bring in Mitchell,
Draft a good shooter that can defend at #15,
Add a a couple of better fitting vets -

Then we'll be cooking.
