This matchup reminds me of first round against Nets in 2022. How much better is Doncic now than Durant then? (Lots better of course especially in clutch) How much more effective will Kyrie be now that he is in a better place mentally? (Not much, he was pretty amazing in game 1 back then). Bruce Brown vs PJ is a wash. Gafford/Lively vs Claxton/Drummond is better. Dragic and Curry were decent but defensive liabilities compared to Green and Jones.

Celtics Jays have made huge leaps and Jrue/KP are huge upgrades compared to that team.

I think the Celtics should win this in 6 but Luka is playing on a level rarely seen. He shredded Minny in first quarter last night and put game out of reach early. He was unstoppable. Celtics will have to score a lot of points, something Minny was incapable of. The Cs have to beat them the way GS beat the Cs in 2022 - solid defense of course but relentless offense that makes it even harder for them to keep up.

I think it will be the Celtics beating themselves more than anything else, if the Cs lose in this finals.

The Celtics are their own worst enemy.

But I just don't see the Cs losing to this Mavs team.

Denver would be a different story.

Turn the clock ahead, this Dallas/Boston series is going to look a lot like what happened with Minnesota. Minnesota beat Denver and everyone and their family jumped on the Minnesota bandwagon. When Minnesota played Dallas you saw what happened. Same thing is going to happen to Dallas.

There are levels to this thing.

I got the Boston Celtics in 5 games.

If Kristaps is healthy we are much better than the Mavs

I don’t give a **** about their playoff run. It’s been completely overrated. Kawhi banged up, inexperienced OKC with one big and a Minnesota team completely overrated because they beat Denver as they matched up well with them.

We have all the tools offensively and defensively to make their lives hell.

Battle of the Luk’s. I haven’t heard Luka tell any jokes so I’ll take Luke in this one.

Crowd wise at least on tv the Boston crowd has seemed less than ideal during large parts of most games. Perhaps the best part of Kyrie coming to town is that will not be the case. It’s going to be the loudest crowds they’ve had all playoffs and it’ll affect more than Kyrie. How do the rest of the non-Luka guys do with it? Our guys are used to hostile crowds as everyone has been up for us and fighting for their lives, and most of the roster has been to the Finals before.
