Fischer, in that article, is having trouble listing teams that would pay him the $100M in the headline.

The list is basically Orlando and Utah, if you assume both teams are interested and iHart is also interested.

25 mil is the new 20 mil with the cap going up, which players like allen, poetl, vucivec, capella, etc signed.

not really. The reason he'd leave is because Knicks dont have his full bird rights and cant sign him to that big of a contract, meaning they cant sign and trade him at that number

If the Knicks could pay him, they almost certainly would, even if it was 100mill total. Mitchell Robinson is not nearly reliable enough for a team trying to contend for a title.

What is the minimum amount of years he could be re-signed to for the Knicks to gain his bird-rights and give them more financial flexibility to offer him more money on his next contract? What would that contract look like? Maybe iHart would be willing to take a shorter deal for less money if he can get more money on his next deal.

Fischer: "The Knicks will be limited to offering their center a four-year, $72.5 million deal because of his early Bird rights. Any interested rival team will have the ability to double that amount — as much as $151.6 million over the same four-year length. There’s little expectation he’ll draw such a significant number, but league executives and cap strategists are projecting Hartenstein will be able to draw at least $80 million, and perhaps upward of $100 million, from a team hoping to steal Hartenstein from Madison Square Garden."

Starting to get a little strange that the majority of tuned in beat writers think OG and iHart are returning. However Fischer, who is a known Philly guy, publishes consecutive articles claiming based on much more ambiguous “sources” that they could leave.Doesn't garantee he is wrong BUT Fischer does sound a bit fishy and kinda sounds like he is fishing

We need to agree to sign and trade him. I don't think we are interested in it.

So lets say the Knicks sign him to a 1+1 contract with a player option on the second year starting at $16.1 million they would have the flexibility to extend him next year up to whatever his maximum number is if there are no restrictions at the first or second apron? I know nothing about the CBA and what the financial restrictions are.

iHart is staying. If another team offers him $80m or even $90m vs our $72m, I think he stays. iHart wasn't really great for us in the playoffs TBH although he was really good in the 2nd half of the regular season so if he wants to bounce for a contract over $72m, then I can live with that because it's probably an overpay.
