We chose a direction at least. Doesn't compare to 22/23 to me.
They chose a direction in 2022/23, too. In each case they just wasted a lot of assets, but at least in the latter the asset they gave up for Poeltl ended up being much higher than it could have been. The worst of all worlds. That's part of the 2024 experience, though, even though the trade was executed in 2023.
And isn't this whole thread about what we think was the bigger deal? I think one of your players fixing games is huge. Especially when management previously tried to sell him as a part of the future they were rebuilding for. This is a part of the experience of watching the Raptors this year. Of course, it's not like it was an important player, but there haven't been too many NBA players banned for life
