Romano on 15 day IL with elbow inflammation. What else can go wrong?

This team is a complete disgrace.

Don't disagree, but they have won four in a row...

We come right back and put on a stinker. Feel bad for the fans who went to watch this game today and spent their hard earned money.

Just delaying the inevitable. Can't wait until this FO and coaching staff are gone.

I support this message. Even drunk blue jay fans can do Shapiro's job better.

Shatkins still see nothing wrong. Fans deserve better. The lack of top end minor league prospects is concerning. No excuse to be that bad in recent years.

That person spending their money would be me.

Fortunately I didn't watch the blowout. I had something come up last minute, so my son took his girlfriend. Not sure if they are still dating after this afternoon.

In other news, spencer horwitz went 5 for 6 today with a HR and two doubles but yeah, according to Atkins, Horwitz playing for the Jays in limited at bats is just no good for his development. He's 26 and batting 330 with an ops of 931 in AAA.

He needs regular playing time and that is why atkins has a glut of players ahead of him which prevent him from getting regular playing time, you know, the thing Atkins claims he needs.

No regular playing time with a lineup featuring some of the worst hitting in the league.

It's a SHATSHOW!

I don't know what more Spencer has to do to get a call up. The guy has been killing it in AAA. Just look up his stats.

I think part of it is that we already have a guy at 1B by the name of Vladdy. You could slot him as our DH but that would limit his development at playing 1B. I mean he's already 26. How much longer will it take??

They should be evaluating him as a Vlad replacement. Trade Turner and get Spencer every day for the rest of the year.

Vladdy finally gets his opportunity at 3b.

The problem is this team wins just enough games for the FO to keep surviving. This is one case where every win actually extends the suffering.

Isnt it obvious by now that this FO and management team value defensive versatility in their players over offense? Why do you think scrubs like Biggio are still on this team? Same with guys like Clement and IKF. Guys that play multiple positions well but cant hit. Though to be fair to IKF hes ahead of many of our so called star players in the hitting department this season.

This FO just loves players who can play multiple positions but can’t hit. The amount of times over the last few years where Cavan Biggio looks at a fastball down the middle for a strikeout is maddening. How much worse can one of our AAA call ups be?
