Kobblehead wrote:Cam Christie staying in the draft is interesting. I think he's the most slept on freshman. He's solid athletically, he's taller than 6'4" without shoes, and he can shoot.

If the Knicks want to package to move up, I wouldn't mind making a deal with them.

Taking Kyshawn George at #24 and Cam Christie at #25 would be interesting.

Perhaps solving longterm solutions to both SG and SF with young guys with size and shooting playstyle.

Cam joining his brother, Max, as Christies who will live on the bench in the NBA until they live out the rest of their days in the G League.

Cam isn't the boxscore hole that his brother was. At least Cam has double digit assist percentage. I'm hoping he can be the young, better brother like Jaden McDaniels is to his bro.

Cam has size, acceptable athleticism, and playstyle to transition to the pros. That's half the battle.

Damn, I might be back on board with Klintman at our pick. He’s a legit 6’10 with shoes and is a fluid lateral athlete. Generates steals and deflections. Has a pretty pure jumper.

I feel like me getting burned by Dedric Lawson has affected my evaluation of Klintman, but Bobi is way more athletic, agile, no off the court issues that I know of. He is an ideal 4 to put next to Embiid if he pans out. I like banking on elite traits and that jumper form has the ability to be elite.

Are Klintman's bad athleticism numbers color coded red based on SF standards but okay for PF standards?

Good question and looking at the combine total numbers, he certainly didn’t do well. But historically, I think he’s pretty middle of the pack for PF numbers. Like, in comparison to Dedric Lawson, he has waaay better numbers.

While there are definitely differences in their games, he reminds me of Covington in that he’s a steal generator at 6’9-6’10, does not have great vertical athleticism but has excellent anticipation and is able to move fluidly at that size.

His 60% 3pa rate is damn impressive. Dude seems like a more than willing spacer.

Btw, been checking on him recently. He’s much better rebounder and higher upside to be a better defender than Gradey Dick, who was drafted 13th overall in a more talented draft last year.

Furphy would be a good replacement for Isaiah Joe for the Thunders.

Was looking at him earlier on as I was acquainting myself with the prospects. Obviously athletic and has solid stats. The bet is that he'll add parts to his game that he simply didn't show in college. Big bet, but as a second rounder it could be worth it. First rounder is out of the question in my opinion.

Quite a good mock draft for me. So it’s Flipowski or McCain for us with the 16th pick

Neither seem like a Daryl pick to me. Don't ask me why I say that.

No interest in Jonathan Mogbo.

The man hasn't even attempted a three point shot.

I would take him in the second, kinda like the Bassey pick that I’m still a little sad we moved on from

I dont mind drafting Tristan Da Silva, as long as we can get Paul George and Jalen Smith at the 3&4 positions. I think Da Silva is good at SG, but his defense and rebounding is below average for this team at the 3&4 positions.

The Raptors hosted Zach Edey for a private workout today.

Edey’s draft range is viewed as late lottery to mid-first round.

Toronto owns the No. 19 overall pick.

Not the first time that this "promise" rumors arent true, but not happy about this (anyway, I think Morey is going to trade the pick)

That would be a really good fit. Jakob Poeltl is a 20+ mpg player so Edey wouldn't have to come in and play starter's minutes right away.

Zach and Jake platoon would be real solid.

In Kevin O'Connor's rumor-driven mock draft, Kel’el Ware has landed a spot. Filipowski has slipped to the last first-round pick, and Jakobe Walter has fallen out of the lottery past our spot. O'Connor has us selecting Carlton Carrington, who reminds me of Ayo Dosunmu or Shake Milton with the potential to become Maxey 2.0.
