Re: How many games will the Celtics win this year?
53 wins. I expect the Celtics coaching staff and organization to take it easy during regular season and conservatively give players lots of time off for injury. If the team is intelligent even Tatum and Brown will have their regular season minutes curtailed. Last year, once again showed seeding if you make the playoffs means less than ever before. Given the amount of 3's being thrown up each game and their variability, playoff seeding means less than ever before. Just enter the playoffs healthy and playing well the week or two before the playoffs should be the main goal.
Probably the best argument for trying for 60+ wins isn't HCA even against a team like Denver but maybe it helps the Celtics get a real good ring chaser. I just feel after last year where the team/coaching staff was only judged on postseason that the team will be hyper focused on being healthy/rested for the postseason.
If I had to predict, this Celtics team loses in the NBA finals in 6 or 7 games if they are fairly healthy but don't receive additions to their bench. I'm assuming their 2nd round rookie is a year away from possibly fulfilling or even improving upon that Grant Williams role in a different sort of way. If they get a key bench addition or two before the playoffs and remain healthy, 16 playoff wins and NBA championship is a real possibility.
While one can make an argument for the Celtics team with an old Shaq before he went out, this may be the Celtics best starting lineup since KG got hurt in terms of ability/balance but they had to sacrifice a bench that already wasn't stellar to do it.

They're that good.
Only Brown's playoff ego and Joe can get in the way.
You said it, back in October.
We're definitely on Track to go over 60 Wins.
Let's get that Title now.

Yep. I thought that they would go 55-60.
I Officially want to change my Vote, to 61-65. And, they may do better than that.

Anyone can win 60 with this roster. We all know this team is gonna be judged on the playoffs. I still don't trust Joe or Brown but they can't fix that until the playoffs so we gotta enjoy the ride while we can.

On pace for over 66 adjusted for SOS.
65.6 without adjusting. Good start. If they can stay reasonably healthy they’ll be in that range I think.

Let's look back and see.
From what we thought, to what's going on now.

Celtics did pretty good.
I went back and looked, and I actually voted 61-65. Early on, I got the thought that this was a longshot.
Kudo's to those who just Knew.
This Team is very reminiscent of the 2008 Team. Perhaps, even better?

I went with 66+ . I didn’t factor in those two ATL losses.
