I'm trying not to moderate this thread since I'm a Celtics fan and don't want the appearance of a conflict of interest. There are four teams with comparable games played. The difficult part is he has out rebounded not just centers on his own team but need to over other teams' Gobert/Horford/Turner, have more steals than all PGs, and steals more than all defensive players... Could be, does not mean much, but it has never done before. What they did not list is Luka also leads all players in minutes played albeit on bad knees, and total TOs.

when you say "comparable" that mean "less" right?

Be honest, this is meaningless just all counting stats, hes played for example 17 games to the celtics 14.

is Luka having more rebounds in 17 games than guys like Tatum and Horford did in 14 supposed to be impressive?

its just a really dumb way to look at things.

I mean you’re more then welcome to prove me wrong that you’re not a stereotypical know nothing Celtics fan by providing any basketball reason you have for why a zone defense would have absolutely 0 chance for slowing down the Celtics. But until then you’re going to continue to be exactly what everyone already thinks of your fan base.

Boston has averaged 1.56 points per possession against the zone in the playoffs. Miami was forced to abandon it after game 1 of the series because Boston has shredded it all season due to their 3pt shooting, particularly with KP parked at the free throw line where he has been a lethal playmaker.

Anything Dallas can do to get KP off the 3pt line I think is a victory for us. We completely eliminated attack the basket for Shai who is the best in the league at getting to the rim. We know the Celtics bomb 3 more than anyone and at the 2nd highest clip. (Although 7th in the playoffs) but just taking jumpers will not be enough to outscore Luka and Kyrie.

I'll respect this if you give me your opinion on New England (basically Boston) clam chowder vs. Manhattan clam chowder.

Not that I've been one of the culprits here, but I might become one of the culprits if you don't give me your chowder opinion

i have no idea who's gonna win. in this new nba, too many factors involved to make a clear choice. hope for a fun series. i think mavs are playing with house money and all the pressure is on boston. i also think kp's legacy will be shaped after this series one way or another.

I like the creamy Boston chowder. But I actually live in California haha. The best chowder around here is Boston style chowder in San Francisco sourdough bread bowl.

New England clam chowder is made with cream and is much thicker. Manhattan chowder is made with evaporated milk. Best New England clam chowder I have ever had is served at Michael's Harborside in Newburyport, MA.

In the history of the NBA there have been teams every year who have played more games then everyone else in the field and they’ve never done that before.

again, is that meant to be impressive? any "accomplishment" that requires you to lose more games than other teams to reach it doesent seem very impressive

Mainly it just makes me nostalgic because before my Grandpa died he used to go to In N Out and talk about how the restaurant was "so clean you could eat off the floor." He was very impressed with the cleanliness of his local In N Out burger lol. Not sure how clean Whataburger is fwiw.

Luka was the ONLY player ever in the playoff history since they tracked this, don't act like a few more games here and there never happened in the previous many years. Of course he is an ELITE rebounder (#9 of all playoff players), especially for a point guard, and ELITE playmaker, and ELITE scorer. Also no one is claiming anything out of it or act like his legacy depending on it, lol.

You are extremely insecure about this. LeBron replaced KAJ with the all time scoring leader in nba history, it is just one counting stats, no need to dig into how many years how many games...

I explained to you why they have that good %, they're not doing much else than dunking and they won't do much else in Celtics series either. So % will likely be very good, but # of dunks may vary a lot. The difference will be, how will Celtics decide to guard Luka's pick. Kp is not better rim protector then Gobert, but if Celtics decide to take those dunks away they somewhat can, but in that case they will have to give away something else. I can't give you an answer, before I see how they defend those picks. Difference won't be in quality of KP's rim protection, but in decision of Celtics coach.

Kp is good help defender but far from elite rim protector. Don't forget that we have been watching him for few years in Dallas and nobody was upset about him being traded. His total inability to protect the rim was the reason for Mavs playing Boban alongside him in Clippers series. He might be more motivated now, but I doubt that anyone is afraid of him.

So you cited a playoff series from three years ago to back your argument that KP is far from an elite rim protector. When faced with statistics from this season showing that KP is in fact an elite rim protector and on par with Chet and Gobert, you basically ignored that evidence, cited Lively and Gafford's FG% in the regular season, and talked about Luka in the PnR.

All of that was irrelevant to the initial discussion, which was whether or not KP is "far from elite rim protector" as you initially claimed.

Whataburger is a must for everyone to try at least once in there life. Its amazing. Tip tho eat at one that's near the rich part of a city. Most of those are very very very clean and the foods top notch.

Wait until the avocado bacon burger is back. My California dad (who was raised in Connecticut until he was 12 and is old enough to have seen Bill Russell live) still can not get enough of those when that is one of their specials.
