Alonzo Mourning underwent surgery to remove his prostate after getting diagnosed with Stage 3 prostate cancer in March.
The cancer did not spread beyond his prostate.
"What scares me about this disease is that there are so many men walking around feeling great and have that cancer in them and they don't know it," Mourning said in an interview with ESPN.
Mourning has worked for the Heat's front office since his retirement in 2008.
