Both deserve it.
Coach Kidd will be a difficult for some to understand, so I expect him to have some harsh critics, but he still deserved to be extended.

I would think a vast majority Mavs fans would be happy to see Kidd's extension as well. 1 Finals (not yet finished) and 1 WCF in 3 years, the year when they missed playoffs might have been an intentional tanking to get Lively II, an integral part of the team's future...

Kidd has received a great deal of criticism for his coaching but fans have possibly grown to trust him more.

They both for sure earned it. Thank God the new owners have deep pockets... Theyre going to need it if the good times continue to roll.

But Kidd is still such a weird case to me. If i can exaggerate a little bit. He can look like the worst coach of all time and 5 minutes later he makes adjustments Phil Jackson would be proud of. I don't get it, i can't figure him out lol. He is hibernating through the regular season but in playoffs he's an awoken bear.

Nico's extension is a no brainer.
But I still think Kidd's extension is so funny. Now that we make the finals it is well deserved but Jesus Christ. Do you guys remember how we (me included) wanted him out during RS and did understand at all how you can extend him during playoffs (which is still weird)?
Maybe I underestimated how Luka und Kyrie like that he is not freaking out on the sideline and how he stays so calm. He does not talk about the mistakes a few minutes ago it is always about being positive and not making the mistakes again and being better the next play.

imaging you would have Luka and a coach ranting about no calls. That would fire up Luka so bad he would've got many techs
