I can see OKC and Minnesota making a trade involving Giddey.

I'd love this trade if the numbers worked out as constructed.

I just don't think Utah or Brooklyn would settle for the trade assets you listed.

Markenen is in his prime. There's absolutely no way he'd be keen on coming here and come off the bench. If you trade for him, you're resigning to the fact that I-Hart isn't coming back, or I-Hart is coming off the bench (and Robinson is gone).

Minutes are the key here.

If it makes you happy

Markenen(18), I-Hart (27), Achiwa (3)
Randle(32), Markenen(16)
OG(32), Hart (16)
Divo(30), Hart(10), Kennard(8)
Brunson(35), Kennard(13)

Markenen gets 32+ minutes either way. In fact in this scenario he has the 2nd most minutes on the team.

But it's not. He's not coming here to play backup on a contract year. And the Knicks paying him 30-35 per next season to stay a backup? C'mon, bro, this is unrealistic.

Love to see an NBA executive poll to see in what world they would trade Randle, 2 other players, and picks for Bridges. :o

Giddey is still a solid player, averaged 14/7/5 post all star break shooting 52% from the field and 36% from 3. Also averaged 12/5/3 in the first round of the post season. That being said he’s a terrible fit on OKC. Giddey thrives when he has the ball in his hands. They have ball dominant players in SGA and J-Dub so he’s pretty ineffective there. I doubt much would change here since we have Randle and Brunson. He’s better off on a team like the Spurs.

Nothing like going over the 2nd apron to pay a bench player 25 million a year while also cutting into the minutes of two of Thibs favorite players in Randle and Hart. Seems 100% likely trade to happen

Luke Kennard as backup PG? Lawd have mercy.

Thibs would glue him to the bench faster than you can say Gua...I mean Evan Fournier

Realistic off-season

1) Let go Bojan to resign OG and Hart
2) Trade Mitch for Kennard and a few seconds
3) Trade out of the first round
4) Run it back with the same team minus Mitch and Bojan

we’d better sign or draft a good backup defensive big if that’s the off season. can’t trade mitch and have only ihart and sims/achuiwa to lean on

In the last years, everybody knew we would sign Brunson and DiVicenzo while heavily interested in OG.

Son, You have only been watching basketball for four year and no nothing about game. This was Giddy First Year in the playoff. If this was his second or third year, agree with your simply quote. The Knicks are going to lose Mitch or IHart. Mitch is what OKC need and Giddy fits our need period.

If we move Mitch we need to find a suitable defensive minded center that can bang. I don't think we get by the sixers without Mitch's minutes. He was carving up ihart all series.

His health is a major concern...and also after we invest long term with OG...and with thibs as our coach we need to invest in some depth (maybe more so than most teams).
