Why aint you hyping someone worthy of hyping.. They got a chick on the NY Liberty Named Breanna Stewart?.. Yea... Shes pretty good. Only the hands down MVP. . About 10000x better than Clark. Why aren't you hyping her? :roll:

Shes a 6'4 version of Caitlyn except better at EVERYHTING

I'm a Liberty fan. I love Stewie

That being said, Caitlin Clark is nasty and I enjoy seeing her hoop.

I'm not sure what the point is though? There's plenty of room to appreciate all WNBA players. Who isn't hyping Stewie bro?

Breanna Stewart has been in the league for years.
Caitlin Clark already had a bigger following than her coming into the league. That's why they're "hyping" her, she was already a big star before the WNBA had anything to do with her.
Also, Clark will be awesome it will just take time to adjust. Remember Wemby kinda sucked at the beginning of the NBA season too. Obviously very different players stylistically, but still a relevant example.
The WNBA didn't do Clark any favors by dragging her around the country as much as possible at the beginning of the season to maximize her marketability. Playing every other day and traveling across the country is a HUGE change from college.
I said before the season that Clark would be a top-10 player in the league by the end of her rookie season, and that might have been too optimistic, but I don't think it will be far off. Watch her start going off after this long break she's getting. It's coming.

Clark is going to be alright, I agree. The media needs to relax.

I don't know if she will break top 10 this year but I think she's going to figure it out. The game is going to slow down for her at some point

Lot of the "hype" is carrying over from the NCAAW. CC was a big star there, so it makes sense for that to carry over to the WNBA. :dontknow:

Yeah, I think WNBA rookies have it harder than NBA rookies. Because their professional season basically starts right after their college season.

Yeah, I think WNBA rookies have it harder than NBA rookies. Because their professional season basically starts right after their college season.

Yep and they also have an uphill climb to make the roster unlike NBA 1st rounders who are locks to make the 15 man roster. It's rough being a W rookie.

It's pretty obvious isn't it?!

CC is bringing the ratings & excitement to the WNBA like we've never seen before. Stewie is extremely good, but she never has done what CC has done to bring attention to the game.

I think the WNBA/ESPN/Sports media need to ride this Clark hype train as long as possible WHILE ALSO talking about current stars in the league to make new fans aware of them and their talents.

Yep. And the first thing the media needs to stop doing is making it a Caitlin vs the league narrative.

WNBA is the season why people watching wnba and know bout Clark and Reese.. they are 2 players scoring 27+ a game highest since Lloyd With about 26 ppg a few yrs back.. WNBA BEEN having talent and it’s on the way up

I'd say extremely doubtful any racist remarks were said. Otherwise I'd think we would have had different reactions from Chennedy and the security bloke.

Caitlin's game created the marketers; it was not the other way around. Her popularity will attract more fans who will then become fans of other players. Aja Wilson and Kelsey Plum are two players that jumped off the screen for me when they played the Fever. Very talented.

The people deciding to give Clark mainstream hype are the mainstream, not us, not the WNBA, not women's basketball.

For the record, I'd say odds are >50% that Stewie ends up with a better competitive career than Clark, simply because it's so hard to do what Stewie has done, and she's not done yet.

Never watched a single episode of Family Guy. But I’ve seen plenty of clips and memes I’ve found funny and entertaining.

For some reason Stacey King thought Oleksiy Pecherov looked just like Stewie. :roll:

I find Stewie fun to say.

So I love that we have an MVP star we can casually call Stewie on the reg and it’s just expected. Small joys. :lol:
