He's going to be a good pro MWP. Him or Carter would be my choices, but it sounds like Carter is likely gone.

We trading Butler and drafting Carter and Ware.

I'm pretty satisfied on his progress so far and I like him vs any of the similar players in the lottery this year, so idk why the heat would be disappointed. I expect him to start the whole season next to Bam, and continue getting more consistent on defense

I'm really struggling with the idea of Miami drafting a tiny guard--especially if they don't show advanced PG skills

I’d rather take my chances with the more stout Collier over Dilly

I have a sneaking suspicion that Daron Holmes got his promise from OKC to pick him at 12.

Could be lethal there as additional versatile size to add to their frontcourt rotation along with Chet. Can be a backup for many of the things Chet does and has potential to play alongside him, as well.

They can keep their 5-out offense going and up-size with added inside rim-running pressure and shot-blocking.

F**k.

This draft is littered with small guards that are generally projected to go top 10, but they are smaller than almost every starting guard in the league. Sheppard, Dillingham, and even McCain. I love the shooting and some ancillary skills each provide, but man it's hard to count on getting too much from such small players as core pieces if they're not best shooter in the league good, are not actually proper PG fits (Dillingham seems to be more of a real PG than the others), and aren't explosive defenders to make up for lack of size.

It's really hard for me to rank them. I might even prefer to take the shot on both Collier and Bub Carrington.

We've been going through the Herro experience. And Herro was a great value pick. But, his ceiling and lineup flexibility with his deficiencies are always showing up.

Imagine if Isaiah Collier was the starting PG at Kentucky this past season instead of DJ Wagner--with 3 teammates shooting over 44% from 3 on a total average of 14.6 3PA per game (with another starting teammate shooting over 36%). My guess is he would be considered the playmaking savant of the class and the clear top advantage creator and slasher in the draft class, and would be a clear top 3 pick.

Context matters. Boogie Ellis was the only decent shooter with volume that USC had on the roster.

Honestly this is the only thing that makes sense cause why in the hell would he cancel workouts if a lottery team came calling. I know people are speculating back half of first but you don't stop workouts for a back half first promise if a lottery team comes calling. The mock draft nerds get it wrong most of the time.

Worth sharing this again.

Some takeaways:

- Not many great pull-up 3 pt shooting threats
- Bub Carrington's volume of pull-up 3s is absurd. If he becomes more consistent from there, he becomes lethal (he's 50% on 2-pt jump shots away from rim)
- Reed Sheppard is def a pure shooter
- Dalton Knecht is suspect IMO--same pull up 3% as Isaiah Collier & Castle (FR)

Shades of Devin Booker. Minus 2.5" in height, 4.5" in standing reach, and 5 inches in wingspan (and not as quick in any of the agility testing)

??? I don't understand this statement. Those seem like 2 conflicting sentences. If he kills it everywhere, and lottery teams want to give him a promise, why not go with the lottery teams? He gets more money that way.
