He’s still going in the lottery. Worst case scenario is surgery right after the draft, sits out all of next year (no lottery team is going to care, because everyone will tank for 2025 draft), comes back next summer fully healthy, and will STILL be younger than Reed Sheppard is right now.

Topic is only 7 months older than Dylan Harper.

Tankathon has Furphy being our 2nd (1st rnd) pick. Maybe I somehow missed it but
it seems to me he's a guy no one has talked about in this thread. Anyone want to comment
on Furphy as an NBA prospect?

Thinking about it. I would take Tristen Newton at 26 even. He had more triple doubles in his NCAA career than any player since Shaq. His numbers are solid across the board. Big for a PG. Great Ast/TO ratio. Great board work from the guard position. Great motor. And all he did was win.

No point trying to re-sign Tyus, if need a young veteran to help bring up incoming talent, I can't think of a better guy in this draft. MOP of the tourney. Two time champion. Low ego. Too smart. I understand if the front office sees another upside talent at 26 they like better. But I'd make an offer in the 2nd round if another team takes him before he falls to 52.

Sign me up! Great kid, looks to have a solid chance be a very good NBA player.

The tip top may be thin, but I think this draft is exceptionally deep.

As I've written, this looks like a deep draft to me. Which means there'll be several good choices at 26. But... I would be hard-pressed to pass on Johnny Furphy if he's there.

I think he's going to be a very very good NBA player for a long long time. I like him better than some guys who are mocked to go 10 spots above him.

Worst case scenario is that the he becomes another Brandon Roy/Greg Oden/Andrew Bynum. Hopefully he will have a miracle comeback. Draft night will be interesting to see where Topic/Edey end up, nobody knows....

I see no official measurements on any of the European prospects. That’s just a random comment in a Givony preview article (who also misreported on the knee injury).

Could be, but there’s no indication of that in the article. I haven’t seen numbers on any other international prospects.

Topic is 6'7. That's probably with shoes. Wingspan of 6'5.5.
