Yeah, i'm not sure Mavs will continue to shoot this horrible from 3 for the rest of the series. They looked bad in previous runs as well and then when those %'s balanced out, they were a completely different team. Missing a ton of open looks and losing game 1 is basically a tradition for this team now.

you need to look deeper in WHY macs shot horrible from 3. Take any other series they played, most of their makes was from corner 3s. PJ and DJJ are HORRIBLE off the break 3 pointers. Celtics gave them those open off the break 3 pointers and took away the corner 3s. They will likely ocntinue to shoot this bad from 3 if they don't get corner 3s.

Refs let both teams just play last night, so i'm curious to see what happens once they start their usual shenanigans. "Let em play" gives more of an edge to the Celtics, stopping the game, getting free points, and slowing the game down clearly favors the MAVS. I expect them to come out Game 2 and just try to muck the game up, play overly physical, and hunt for fouls.

Celtics really didn't do all that much different from what they typically do, and they honestly didn't even play well outside of KP's scorcher of a 1st and Brown just being consistently awesome. Tatum could have forced a lot more at the rim if he wanted, Pritchard missed a ton of shots, and White was low key a ghost on offense too.

There is a lot for both teams to adjust, I just hope the refs continue to just let them play. That was an enjoyable game because the pace was there, and wasn't a constant stop-start roller coaster with teams living at the line

I didn't like the whistles Lively got in the 3rd, they were against the general spirit of how they called the game but yes, officiating was great, and in line with how PO should be called, I hope it remains like this.

I didn't like the whistles Lively got in the 3rd, they were against the general spirit of how they called the game but yes, officiating was great, and in line with how PO should be called, I hope it remains like this.

Yeah Lively was really physical the whole game. Those were legit fouls I thought but not consistent with how the refs called him earlier in the game. I agree officiating was fine. Just hope they remain consistent.

Celtics should win this but don't forget OKC blew Dallas out in game 1 of the semi finals.

Okc is super young and small inside, it's not comparable.

The Celtics made a very strong opening statement, but we'll have to see how game 2 goes before declaring this series over. Dallas could rise to the occasion and steal game 2, we've all seen that happen many times in Finals. This game Monday night will be the game of the series.
