Not what i'm going to the William Lou show for. When we say we want better community representation we don't want one that pushes things to the other extreme, so less Shireen please.

I listened to Shireen's segment. I disagree.

She's not just a journalist for women's sport. She's also clearly an advocate, and gets tired of running up against the casual sexism in the media. I would think basketball fans who have had to deal with puckhead media types that dominate the airwaves in this city/country, the type Sid Seixeiro was railing against in his classic rant leading up to the 2014 playoffs, would understand this. After being a huge Habs fan as a kid, I became a hockey hater because of what I perceived to be inherently racist puckhead culture that despised basketball. I'm just coming out of that period now, and starting to enjoy hockey again without feeling like I'm betraying basketball.

Shireen made it clear she doesn't hate all men. She apparently has four kids and a new husband.

I've never heard of Shireen Ahmed but I expect advocates to push the boundaries which will make many people uncomfortable - that's generally how new ideas and attitudes emerge and become more acceptable.

Did you play in the professional basketball? Did you graduate with a masters degree in Basketball? Why should we listen to your opinion? Your opinion means nothing.

Nothing screams incel energy than this post right here. Perhaps a 3 hour course in Jordan Peterson's program on how to clean up your room?

Nah she's terrible on CBC.

I don't know who Jordan Peterson is and i'm not going to google it to understand the reference, but maybe listen to her session and her direct quotes. It was kind of funny having Will and Alex have that awkward pause when she went on that ramble (which she realized and laughed through after), but kudos to Will for skipping over it and reigning it back.

At least you know what incel is. Try cross posting on /r/mensrights about how your manhood was threaten by a woman.

No need to be modest, your resume speak for itself and it holds more weight than the people I follow like Zach Lowe, Kevin O’Connor and all of realgm'ers. None of them even played semi pro like you did. I now value your opinion.

What are you even going on about? Dude you even listen to the session?

Personally I have no issue with women advocating and I'm glad to see more actually getting into sports. You're making general comments not knowing who I am. I am commenting on her two sessions she had with William Lou that I listened to. If you have any comments on that, go ahead, or move on to these sites you seem to visit.

Both sessions were her trying to push her narratives on the radio rather than her simply speaking about what the session was about. It was about the WNBA, and she made it about her personal need to advocate and put down others along the way and made it about herself. Her rant didn't fit what the show was about. You can even notice the awkward pause Will and Alex had which she tried to recover with an awkward laugh. I listened to the whole thing and didn't find it uncomfortable. I'm commenting on how bad she is for this type of show. She should be on a political show.

Exactly.

Except this session was not about that. It was about the WNBA and Caitlin Clark and she can learn to adjust to what the topic is about. It takes away from the moment and makes it about yourself when you go on personal rants. This was a moment to be positive - not to take a positive moment and turn it into the negative perspective which is what she did. There's a place and time for advocating.

Example. Imagine Raptors make the finals and they bring on Mark Jones to talk about the moment and he goes on a personal rant about the puckheads during his time here and how much he hated it here. That's kind of what she did.

Show me quotes from the show that she said that were "inflammatory and anti men"

Is it the part when she said that men is not the reason WNBA will succeed?

Or the part where she said women in sports have a made a name for themselves without men?

what is it that she said that triggered you.
