The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed Luis Cessa to a Minor League contract.
Cessa was released by the Kansas City Royals on June 1. He hasn\'t seen any Major League action this year.
He pitched well for Triple-A Omaha, working to a 3.89 ERA through 39 1/3 innings.
