As the doc I referenced earlier in the thread said, he's probably done for the series.

For someone like Porzingis who relies on his explosiveness, that injury is tough to overcome.

If Porzingis was a plodder, he might be able to manage it. But that's not his game.

Feel bad for him.

We both tried to warn everyone yesterday... Nobody would listen. Definitely a bummer for KP as he was eating us alive.

Mavericks will look to attack the paint more with him out.

The scary part is Porzingis is now dealing with injuries to both legs. He might be done for the series sadly.

With Porzingis out now it is time for the Mavs to prove themselves. I always saw Boston's thin frontcourt as their main weakness and the Mavs should look to take advantage as much as possible. This is their chance.

Sucks for KP. Would have been amazing if he could have bucked the super tall trend of injuries, but he's just not been able to. Hopefully its a quick and easy recovery.

But that's not exactly the truth. Tatum blowing by Luka makes many contested shots in the traffic by him too and he's not making them. Celtics 5 out D is creating many open 3s against any opponent. They don't need the worst defender in the history of the league for creating open shots.

Yes, it is true. Tatum is usually passing out of traffic once he blows by Luka and the defense collapses. Getting by Luka puts the Mavs in rotation and that leads to open 3s. That's one of the reasons why Tatum leads all players with assists for the Finals.

So you believe that him shooting 6/22 in game 2 doesn't matter at all? He always passed out?

I think all it means is he is shooting poorly. Don’t confuse shooting poorly with playing poorly.

He is making the correct plays, he is passing, defending, rebounding and initiating offense. He is missing open shots and easy shots.

I think he is playing great, he just isn’t making shots. He is an elite all around player and doesn’t need to shoot great to impact a game.

The Celtics are 9-1 in the playoffs playing without Porzingis, but his contribution to winning games in these Finals has been significant. His absence opens a crack in the door for the Mavs to try to squeeze through.

Celtics ate 31-5 without him this season. They have a ton of experience without him there. The do lose something, but with a healthy Kristaps Celtics are unbeatable.

Depends on PG and if he really wants to play there. It would have to be a sign n trade.

With KP possibly out for the rest of the series, Tatum really will have to step up his shooting and play some all-around good games. It's not enough to just be an elite rebounder and playmaker like he has the first two games. He needs shots to go in.

He doesn’t need to change a darn thing he is doing. He is taking good shots, he is making the right plays. He is a good shooter. It will go in. He doesn’t look uncomfortable.

Man I don’t know. Tingus pingus being a rim protector and a scoring force off the bench is huge. Such a luxury to have him create his own buckets and also block fast breaks! That’s huge
