#1, you don't even get to speak to me about anything after all the L's I have hung on you the last couple of years. I have left a mark on quite a few posters in my time here, but Jaylen's complete collapse vs the Heat last year (and struggles vs the Ws the year before) were about as bad as I've gotten anyone. It was a basketball lesson I never wanted to give, but you insisted and you got it. You know it. I know it. You know I know it. It's why you only post to or about me. I'm sure it stings, but just man up and take the L already. I own you like a dog. Are we clear on that? Because I sure am lol.
#2, brooooo, we aren't playing anyone right now. This might be the weakest path to the Finals anyone has ever had. I'm here for it, but victory laps over beating these injured slob teams? Ooooof. Have some pride. With the same path in the East, this team would have had half a dozen Finals trips in the last 8 years or so. You all know that. And we almost lost Game 1 to these slobs! First semi-real game we've had all year and we played like complete **** in the 4th before the refs and the Pacers literally handed us the game. Jaylen may have saved our season with that shot, ffs.
#3, on Jaylen, I am super impressed with his demeanor right now. Still the same floor game with all its strengths and weaknesses, but he's made a leap mentally IMO. Dude is playing pissed, and I love it. Not sure exactly how many times this team was supposed to choke in the playoffs before the light finally went on for our star players, but Jaylen gets it now. He's super focused and the constant defensive lapses appears to be gone. This is promising in what is likely our last shot to get over the hump with this team. If we don't title, we become the Buffalo Bills. The Webber Kings. No one should be confused about that, and I'm very happy that Jaylen isn't.
#4, Mazzulla? Come on, man. Just trying to survive this guy. Call it whatever you want to, but he is a deer in the headlights in tight games.
Because I don't feel like typing it again, please refer to my last post to you.
As to tonight, woooof. I just want to know who is driving the getaway car. That would have been a crushing loss.
If they handed out trophies after 3 wins, Jaylen would definitely get Finals MVP. He had a very strong second half and was not the reason we almost blew that game in horrifying fashion. The way he is playing now is the exact response a player should have to getting humiliated by Caleb **** Martin in the playoffs the season before. Love to see it.
It is nevertheless worth mentioning that a big part of his success is Dallas doubling Tatum up top while allowing Jaylen to go iso on an injured Luka all game. I'm sure Tatum wishes it were the other way around. Dallas just does not have the personnel for us and have picked their poison on that.
Mazzulla? I'm just glad we are the better team because we played the last 11 minutes of that game like we learned basketball from watching youtube videos. Super disturbing. Hat tip to Luka for fouling out.

If the C's finish this out and win the title a lot of people around the league will whine about how easy their path was, or how it wasn't satisfying because they didn't overcome adversity.
Meanwhile I'll be sitting here thinking about how incredible it's been watching Brown and Tatum's development over the last 7 seasons. Watching Brown go from a guy who could barely dribble to dishing out 8 assists and going 10-13 from 2 in a finals game. Watching Tatum morph into one of the most unselfish swiss-army-knife superstars in the league.
Its been a ride, a real fun one. All titles are great but watching your homegrown stars do it is something else.
I hope we can resign Tillman. Think he has a huge jump next year with offseason with us in development. Could see him being a poor mans horford to ease that transition.
Tatum carried us in the first half. JB came up huge in the second half. But let's not forget about what Hauser and Tillman gave us off the bench.
Sam hit a couple big 3s in the 1st when we couldn't score and the Mavs jumped out on us. Tillman played some incredible defense off of switches. He's one of the better perimeter big defenders that I've seen in a long time. Also Pritchard gave us some awesome defensive possessions before Luka figured out he could back him down and he started throwing up bad shots at the other end.
You can't call these guys chokers anymore. They have made a statement in every single close game this postseason
To everyone who was wondering WHY the Celtics kept giving Jaylen Brown on ball play making reps in the regular season, this series is why. Now 7 and 8 assists in the last two games.
