That 6th foul was a little shaky the more I watch it. But Kidd cannot continue to let Jaylen attack him in isolation. I get that it tends to bog down our offense, but even if he doesn't get in foul trouble, it just tires Luka out.
Who else would be significantly more relaxing for Luka? Tillman, maybe, but he doesn't get that many minutes. Horford could exploit Luka inside. Tatum is a rough wash with Jaylen. Sam doesn't get that many minutes, and runs madly around the court when he does. Fully qualified point guards could run him ragged. Pritchard is both a PG and an Energizer bunny.

If they handed out trophies after 3 wins, Jaylen would definitely get Finals MVP. He had a very strong second half and was not the reason we almost blew that game in horrifying fashion. The way he is playing now is the exact response a player should have to getting humiliated by Caleb **** Martin in the playoffs the season before. Love to see it.
It is nevertheless worth mentioning that a big part of his success is Dallas doubling Tatum up top while allowing Jaylen to go iso on an injured Luka all game. I'm sure Tatum wishes it were the other way around. Dallas just does not have the personnel for us and have picked their poison on that.

Ehh... I just don't like being called out by lurkers (lbc) and/or snarky people that don't know much about a sport I that I played obsessively for years. My criticisms of Jaylen have always been pretty reasonable, and got proven correct a lot more than I would have liked vs the Heat last year and the Ws the year before. I mean, it cost us one title if not two.
When Jaylen had a totally different approach in these playoffs I acknowledged it. Still can't go left, but the defensive lapses are gone and dude is locked in. Him attacking Luka was huge for us. Luka is a crunch time serial killer, and Jaylen tired him out and got him out of the game.
This team tried to blow tonight's game like it was their religion.
We hung by a couple of threads, which were Jaylen and Jrue, IMO.
