Easy no for Utah. Jazz don't need to dump Collins and certainly aren't going to use a first round pick in a strong draft to do so. Difference between 6 and 10 this year is minimal.

While i agree Utah shouldn’t make the trade, its because this is a historically weak draft and the player they get at 10 is probably going to be as good as #6.

Agreed. The benefit of moving from 10 to 6 in this draft is minimal, so Utah would be spending a first and a good second to dump Collins when there is no need given their current cap situation.

Pretty much this. Unless there is a player that the Jazz FO is in love with at 6, Utah simply doesn't need to do this. Folks treat Collins like some sort of leper. Thing is that he's fairly serviceable, if overpaid. Given Utah won't be a FA destination this year, having Collins on the books hurts nothing. If Utah deals him to free up time for Hendricks, then let's go. But a flat salary dump isn't desirable right now, IMO.

As others have said, depends on who Charlotte targets. If one of Buzelis, Clingan, Holland, Knecht look likely be available at 10, roll the dice.

i havent watched much Collins and get that he isn't a great winning player, but is he crap?

how many crap players have averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds in a season?

I don't think Collins could replicate that on anything but the absolute worst team in the league. He's a 12-14ppg guy on a playoff team.
