That's fair, but if they are preparing a "massive offer", to the biggest name in college right now and it comes in under Monty Williams coaching a horrid Detroit franchise; seems like pretty poor recruiting since it appears he was the #1 guy. Apparently, on the local talking head shows they are saying that LAL thought the was deal was done on Friday were heavily surprised when they got rejected. But your assertion that the LAL job isn't that exciting seems to be the common thread here.
