It's so amazing - a couple of years ago, everyone in Detroit was thinking 4x$25M gets Cam to Detroit. Some of the best moves are the ones you don't make.

I still think he'd be a good addition for the Pistons, just not at the cost of No.5.

Not a horrible OP but from a Pistons standpoint, they got $60M+ in cap space, which should net them 3 players and a #5 pick. That’s adding 4 players to a roster that needs help.

But with this trade, you’re giving up #5, Stewart and $20M in cap space for MPJ. That’s 3 for 1 of starting level players. And of course there is the injury risk on top of that huge contract for MPJ. This wouldn’t be my Plan A.

Yeah, I think we’d take him for free on his deal, as we wanted to sign him to something fairly similar. But for 5? Goodness no.
