Yup. Mazzulla played with fire that game giving extended minutes to PP when he was struggling bad out there.

We had like 15 straight horrible possessions in the 4th quarter of game 3. Even coming out of game breaks.

It's insane how refs can affect how players play especially on defense. Totally lopsided in the Mavs' favor tonight. As if it's not enough they were blowing out the C's already. NBA officiating is just the worst.

Anyone exhausted with the playoffs right now? Feels like it’s been 5 months now. I don’t know if it’s because the Celtics ended their series quick and then having a week worth of rest afterwards each round, or the finals being every 3 days, or just wanting banner 18 so bad and being so close again, but man I hope our boys close it out Monday. I think the media and all the **** talking towards Tatum and the Celtics is pretty tiring too.

It's 3-1 Boston. Can they lose 4 in a row, sure. But extremely unlikely. They didnt play with discipline and do the things they had been doing. Dallas played with much better pace and toughness. Then the role players started hitting shots. The fact they were already expecting Dallas to fold by saying KP would play in specific situations...ie up big late as a tribute tells me they thought this was over. A butt whooping is probably exactly what they needed to realize Dallas isnt going away softly and your not so good it cant happen

They almost choked away a 21 point 4th quarter lead and then get completely annihilated tonight. I think some concern is warranted.

But they won. Who **** cares if they choked away a lead.

This game was all about Lively dominating the paint. I watched the entire game, and the plays that stood out to me the most were involving Lively in some way. Luka and Kyrie got theirs, but nothing out of the norm. Lively was the big difference maker tonight.

Also, Kidd went small a lot less.

What can't happen is the Cs getting killed on the boards.

Mavs had 52 rebs compared to the Cs 31 rebs.

This is also the 3rd straight game the Cs lost the rebounding battle.

Maybe time to go to a bigger player like Brissett instead of PP.

We got quite a few really positive looks in the first five minutes, but brick city. JB had the same first quarter as game 3 (a play or two, but ghost city). Dallas played with greatly elevated energy and defensive intensity, which, from my vantage point, was amplified by very conservative whistles for Dallas and looser calls on Boston (first two quarters, few vivid memories of tatum's arm regularly being held as he made very difficult rim shots, and he presented with growing disgust over non-calls).To DAL credit, they were relentless on the boards, buuuuut, again, um, to my untrained eye, they could shove and tug, and when Boston tried to do the same, cheap fouls that led to the lead ballooning and even further pressing/frustration.

Underrated aspect of 1st q, Jrue missed a ton of shots he has been making, and his decision making went a bit haywire. IDK, I felt like by late 2nd quarter, there was incredible discontent among the starters about how they were being officiated and what Dallas was getting away with on the other end.

Might've been a 8-15pt loss had some great looks gone in during the 1st Q. Wasn't our night. We got this, brother bear.
