Celtics was shooting %33 from 3 before game 4.

Efficiency always goes down the deeper you go in the playoffs because you are only playing elite teams at that point and not bums like the Pistons anymore. With that in mind, our 3 point shooting was actually pretty good in both Games 1 and 3. But my point is more about volume than efficiency.

Game 4 - 41

I am not saying I love the plan, just that it IS very much the plan.

Everyone has to be committed to rebounding. Nobody was tonight. I pointed out to my wife early in game how many times we tried to leak out

Yeah, Cs almost lost the lead, but the defense held up.

Cs winning because of their defense is nothing new to this bunch.

Defense was what propelled the Cs into the finals in 2022.

So yeah, in today's NBA, a 20-point lead is nothing.

This is also the 3rd straight game the Cs lost the rebounding battle.

Maybe time to go to a bigger player like Brissett instead of PP.

I was thinking about that midway through the 3rd - the tremendous number of missed shots from Boston may have skewed that a bit, but great crashing from DAL (again, feel like they had some, ahem, advantages in fighting for loose balls), and one of those nights the ball bounced their way in 50/50 situations.

For the rebounding to improve, Joe must go bigger.

Looks like PP is not suitable for this Mavs team.

PP plays good enough D, but he's just giving up too much size.

Celtics losing like this is better than losing a close game and the starters went over 40 minutes.

Just need to take care of business at home.

Game 5 will be the easiest to win for the Cs.

If this goes to a Game 6, the Cs will be in trouble.

This was the first time Dallas played good defense in this series for a full game imo. And this was the first time the Celtics didn't.

Yeah, unless it's an end of quarter possession, this just isn't a Pritchard series. More Hauser.

Tillman had some defensive moments, but the game looked a bit too much for him tonight. IDK, if KP is done, I go X again, but would be quick to try Luke.

It's 3-1 Boston. Can they lose 4 in a row, sure. But extremely unlikely. They didnt play with discipline and do the things they had been doing. Dallas played with much better pace and toughness. Then the role players started hitting shots. The fact they were already expecting Dallas to fold by saying KP would play in specific situations...ie up big late as a tribute tells me they thought this was over. A butt whooping is probably exactly what they needed to realize Dallas isnt going away softly and your not so good it cant happen

It was also extremely Likely that Boston wouldn't lose a game 7 in a playoff series considering home teams win a far greater amount. Even more so considering we had just won 3 straight.. But unlikely can happen..

It was also unlikely that the 1986 Boston team, that may have had the greatest team ever, who was about to get one of the greatest college talents ever, would not win at least 1 more..

I've seen way too many unlikelies That came true..

Not saying that will happen to Boston.. But this whole take things for granted is a poison to the mind..

The buttons he pushes for Game 5 could be the difference in this series.
