I mean it's just a goofy comment from Kyrie. It's game 4 of the NBA Finals and he's trying to tell us they just NOW got around to watching game tape of the teams that beat Boston in the recent past? Ok Kyrie.

It does seem odd if they only got the idea of looking at playoff games vs. the Heat/Dubs after their G3 loss. But their defense in G4 reminded me a lot of what those two teams did vs. the Cs in the past. Not much driving/passing lanes. Active hands. Super physical. Showing bodies at JT and JB when they put the ball on the floor while being a few steps away from shooters. Flattened us out and made our offense super stagnant and predictable. We really could've used KP in this game. Dunno where he's at physically but 15 mins from him in G5 would be a great boost.

Agreed about them turning it up on defense last night. But a lot of it can be attributed to the refereeing. Allowing a lot of that to happen. It was an absolute drubbing so I'm not trying to blame the loss on the officials. But it for sure had an affect on how Dallas could play defense.

With the whole 48 hour non stop media talk about Luka fouling out last game. And Luka coming out and blaming himself, and apologizing. It was clear there was NO WAY they would be calling anything close to ticky tack on Luka, and he absolutely KNEW it. We'll see how the next 3 unfold obviously but keep in mind Miami and Golden State were stacked with a lot of great defenders, great coaching and a history of knowing what they can and can't get away with and how far they can push the officiating. Dallas ... not so much. I highly doubt they can keep it up.

Even Larry Bird and the 84 Celtics lost by 33 pts in LA. Ended up winning in 7. We just need Larry Bird to walk through that door.

They got good shots to start the game, but god discouraged with the refs and that shouldn’t happen. They will be fine in Game 5

I wouldn’t read too much into the final score…

No doubt we would have lost by 20, but Mazzula pulled the plug early as Dallas continued to pile on .

It’s concerning but I never believed the Mavs were a sweep.

I wouldn’t be stunned if we lost game 5 too. These teams are arguably matched without Prozingis. That said we should win at least ONE of the next 3 games.

Tatum and Pritch have been shooting like 7th graders.

Brown, Holiday, Hauser and Horford have been outperforming their norm (normally a great sign).

Would sure help if Tatum and Pritch could find their strokes, although I prefer when Tatum drives and gets to the line.

Our guys made an effort to pass to the open teammate, just was little effort to get open or to exploit the Mavs' scheme. On defense, no rim protection, and in the first half I think Dereck Lively outrebounded our entire starting lineup.

One thing really striking about this Cs team vs like the Pierce/KG or even Pierce/Antoine Celts, is the team doesn’t seem to sense when they need to run a high percentage play to get a basket to stem the other teams momentum in a gritty moment during the game.

In the modern NBA where there aren’t really point guards and playbooks, it seems like they treat every possession the same no matter the circumstance. High screen, drive and kick, hope for an open or semi contested three and then just run it again and let the law of averages work things in your favor.

But when players are not moving, you’re so less able to misdirect the defense and get a high percentage shot when you really just need to score and don’t really need a 3 or to play the math game. And our system has really stagnated at this moment in the series.

I think everyone should read this post again because it's spot on.

Lebron and the Heaties lost by 36 pts in San Antonio in G3 of the 2013 Finals. Ended up winning in 7. We just need Lebron to walk through that door. (And Ray Allen to make a clutch three.)

Put your goddamn team on your back FOR ONCE THIS PLAYOFFS, Tatum What’s this narrative that he can guard the 5? He gets bodied to oblivion and can’t grab a single board. Gets bodied to hell against bigger wings.

But hey sometimes in the playoffs he can get you 17 pts, 6/23 from the field, 8 assists on 5 turnovers so he’s top 5.

Brad better be on the phone, looking to trade Tatum+picks+additional sweetener for actual offensive star players, like Devin Booker.

There's a bigger chance the Earth gets hit by an asteroid than Brad trading Jayson Tatum.

Right now the finals MVP is reset because of that horrible Game 4 loss.

If JT comes up big and Cs win Game 5, JT will win the finals MVP trophy.

Mazzula was horrific. Likely didn't matter but the way he coached the 1st quarter was reg season garbage. Massive run with the stupid figure it out mentality and it spiraled from there. It's the freaking finals...

I think that’s a problem. Jrue is getting old, Horford is a geriatric and White will be gradually exiting his prime soon. Porzingis is perennially injured.

We will need our best players to take scoring matters into their own hands our next playoffs as Brown can’t do it alone. He’s very good but he’s a second option.

Many people in the NBA community subscribe to some fallacious notion that Tatum is top 7. Now’s the time to get on the phone before other teams come to their senses.

Yeah I agree. Seemed like KG was able to get a nice easy 16footer in those situations. This team…usually gets great D in those times but often relies on drive and kick which statistically gets you a good shot, but if you miss a few of those the game can get away from you. I see the Tatum/ Horford pick and pop, which Horford shooting a three as one of this teams go to plays when they need a bucket.

Maybe they just wanted to share this with the fans after coming so close so many time only to be disappointed. Like, if they won fine, but if not, get ready for game 5 and get the party started....quickly.
