They have no shots on target in official stat sheet, so could be proud of having somehow scored a goal, especially while a man down.

Strong start. Musiala and Wirtz are just amazing.
Gotta say I am not a fan of Sane.
He came in in the second half and the game looked much more stagnant because he was not passing the ball.

What a pass. How often does Spain score off a counter?

spain scores quickly off a turnover

croatia had been doing a really good job of possessing the ball themselves.

I assume it is going to happen more often than usual considering the two rockets they have on the wings.

Teams seem to be depending on much younger players than usual too, particularly up front. Germany had Musiala-Wirtz, Spain has their two teenagers on the wings, England has Palmer-Bellingham, Turkey could start three teenagers up front etc

Well Morata isn't young but he outran the defense on that through pass.

Croatia generated a couple of decent chances, maybe they can still make it a game in the second half.

Croatia defense is too slow both physically and in reaction time, or Spain making them look this silly.

I feel like many, myself included, may have underestimated Spain.

I'd be interested to see how they fare against a more aggressive pressing midfield, though. They have some real pace for the out ball now.

My announcer just said Spain's last 50 goals in euros all came from inside the box. Last one to score from outside the box was Raul, who was one of the best strikers of my childhood and I am in my mid 30s.
