I’d definitely risk the injury history just to see what happens if we pick him. If he played against better competition he’d probably be an easy first rounder, and without the injuries he might even be a lottery…top 10 ish pick.

I'm down. Find some way to get him. We have one of the best medical teams in the NBA. Dude even sounds like Kawhi with his baritone voice and monotone speaking style.

DeRozan with 3s, perhaps. His vertical seems good, but lateral isn't able to recover after screens. He does have a longer wingspan than DeRozan, so he may able to guard bigger (yet, not smaller, I believe).
Mid-range pull up may improve better, and may become closer to DeRozan. Seems to have some postup game.

We’ve discussed him a lot, what are you talking about?

He's had a good amount of discussion so far. Personally, I have him in my Top 2 preferences at #31.

When was the last time someone with goggles was good? Horace Grant?

I knew it was over for Scoot the moment he put on the goggles.

Djurisic's stats are pretty cringey, while over the past 3 years he has improved his TS%, his REB% and AST% have gone down and TOV% stayed roughly the same.

The only other thing that has improved is his stock %s but they are still pedestrian. His rebounding is atrocious, Topic outrebounded him at Mega which is sad.

Yeah this is an important factor, it's why someone like Siakam was older as a prospect but still had so much untapped potential. Edey is potentially similar picking up the sport late.

I can’t believe I never checked his HLs before but he looks great lol like he just instantly became my favourite at 31 lol although I don’t think he makes it there.

I was just listening to the No Ceilings podcast and they say there are rumblings he goes late 1st. I like the way he reads the game to the point I actually might not even be mad if we took him at 19.

So far I’m liking him, Mitchell or Kolek with that 31st (in that order)…it’s kinda crazy that all 3 seem like higher bball IQ players that just lack the great physical traits but could turn out to be steals. I don’t obv mean stars or anything but I could see any of them be incredibly solid rotation players and that’s all you can ask for in the 2nd round.

I don't know if it's just the way he plays but he looks taller than the 6"6 he's listed at which is usually more like 6"4, he looks more like 6"8.

If Edey is available at 19, it's common sense that you take him. Everything that has been said and history shows that this late in the draft you're looking for rotation pieces. Even if the 19th pick ends up being a solid rotation piece (especially a regular starter), that's a great pick even in a good draft year. This is considered a terrible draft so if Edey ends up being a JV type that's a steal at 19. Even if you end up with a Zubac type of player that's a great pick.

Reality is the Raptors don't have a good pick. They're looking for a rotation piece they don't have to waste resources to trade for or someone they would target but would lose to other teams in the competition of free agency.

Somebody get the word to Scoot’s camp to remove the goggles so he can maximize his potential!!

If Raps want Edey and Edey wants the Raptors, his agent can make it happen. We have an inside connection too with Team Canada’s relationship with the Raptors FO.

Yup. My prediction is one of Edey, Collier, Walter, Topic, or Dillingham will fall just like Drummond, OG or Whitmore.

I agree with this. They have to come away from this draft with 2 useful players that will grow with this core.

Whether it's Edey or someone else, I think that player needs to have a decent floor.
