Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Darvin Returns
Is Austin Reaves' defence passable? He did play his best basketball and establish himself from an undrafted player to an NBA starter under coach Ham.
Pat + MarJon + #23 is OK I think in terms of value. Obviously Lakers won't be interested in that. But if they use Reaves in a package for a bigger trade, there could be an opportunity.

Comparing Bobby to Drew Gooden doesn’t seem fair to me. Gooden was a dog.
Bobby is a high energy tough player that can score in a number of ways, is a great rebounder, and contributed substantially to a championship team (Mirotic probably had it coming too).
All these are reasons explaining why Kerr valued Bobby so much on Team USA. And I could imagine Golden State being the team who’d trade the most for him now.
3-way for Caruso. Could see it.

If he keeps improving he is going to develop quicker than Derrick White. If White shot as well as Suggs had I doubt he would've been traded.
He wants a rookie max extension, he isn't that caliber, they have numerous young guards, and they're searching for a playmaking PG, the position he actually played.

We know GS called Chicago about Caruso, but that could have been to be part of a Portis deal. Unfortunately Chicago isn't a serious team, and asked for Kumminga.

Everyone loves Suggs now until he asks for 30+ million per year. Taking him over Wagner would be insane.
I'd take him over Wagner at the same salary, whatever it is.

Most of you want to trade Bobby and Brook for guards because they are slow plodders but want to keep slow plodding KM who needs to cover even faster players because PPG.
Wait until Embiid is healthy and just feasting down low on us for like 60.

Reeves regressed badly defensively this past season. Was one of the leagues worst.

I can't imagine why anyone would worry about Embiid in the playoffs. We keep Khris because he's a playoff dominator and effective defender.

I normally agree with everything you say, but right now I think you're high. I doubt you're actually high, so please explain more.

I don't post much but I do read almost all the posts and I just wanted to say that I appreciate the impressive knowledge that is on this board. I've been a Bucks fan since the 70's, it's nice to have interesting Bucks ideas to read...especially in the off season. Keep up the good work!

Yeah the Warriors were way long on guards / wings at the deadline.
And there was the Wiggins report which indicates they were at least talking to the Bucks. Maybe that was Golden State’s counter, or part of some bigger deal.
Either way the Bucks will have more assets we can trade at the draft than we did before if something wasn’t so far off.

The only defense I've seen regarding KM is some of you cats in here excusing him. Bud had Brook standing behind KM expecting the blow by and you guys want to trade him so bad is about to get worse.

Will raise a glass to Hon Jorst if he can get anything helpful/positive for Bobby.

Khris does a solid job making his man settle for heavily contested mid range shots by reading moves. If Khris was bad defensively, one the the many defenders metrics would show that, but they don't.
Your obsession with him is getting a little creepy though. You're not gonna end up like DeNiro in The Fan are you? I hope not.

Idk if this is his line of thinking but I think Suggs is more likely to succeed as a complimentary player (like the #4 guy or maybe #3). Wagner has more potential but he could ultimately top out as a guy that doesn’t fit in well enough to be a complimentary piece but isn’t good enough to be more than that.
It also all might boil down to their shooting abilities. Wagner’s 3 point shooting fell off a cliff this year while Suggs took a huge step forward. If that continues to be the case it really changes what kind of player each of them is.

It's really not.. not at all. Step 1 for playing D is bending your knees in a stance. Haven't seen that happen in years. We've surrounded him with defenders and won. Well Jrue is history and Brook is almost there... I'm saying... this isn't a good setup. Either surround Dame with defenders, Khris with defenders or stagger their playing time AMAP

The Bucks defended the Pacers, the playoffs best offense, better than anyone when Beasley was off the floor, and that's despite what Turner did versus Brook, and no Giannis. Get a PoA defender, and we have no worries. Dame and Khris can guard their man when it matters.
It's funny that when we start talking about acquiring a player like Suggs, who compliments Dame and Khris perfectly, you instantly return with more Khris slander.

Sure, but I don't fully buy it, as Franz is also a good defender, and he averaged more assists than Suggs, despite Suggs mostly playing PG. I think Franz 3 ball will return once he's paired with a real PG.

Suggs does seem like an ideal kind of target. I was thinking of him if the Magic were to go after Middleton, not sure how we’d get enough asset value their way otherwise.
Either way Orlando scenarios should account for the Klay variable — we know they want that kind of player, but could be getting him for free.
