New York / Sacramento

Post#1 » by Colbinii » Sun Jun 16, 2024 2:38 am

Kings Out: Harrison Barnes, #13

Knicks Out: Bojan Bogdanovic, #24, , #25

Kings trade back and get free of 2025-2026 Salary [Is this beneficial?]. They move back and hope to increase the odds with 2 picks.

Knicks get a "better" player and a 6-7 player on the post-season roster. They move up to a higher-graded prospect.

24 and 25 isn't enough to move up to 13.

I think that gets to ~pick 17-18 or so at best.. maybe 24 + 38 + better of NYK/MIL top 4 protected 2025 1st? SAC gets a pick to replace theirs owed to atlanta

Add in a future 1st from NY and the Kings send back the '25 Portland 2nd.

Yeah. Knicks 24 & 25 and the better if the MIL/NYK ‘25 and SAC sends back the ‘25 POR 2nd. That sounds pretty even.

I’m good with the player exchange. We can always unload Bojan at the deadline or include him in a picks trade for an upgrade if things are looking good for a playoff run.

Maybe NYK settles for the 2025 DET 1st?

Yep. I would think there's not too much difference between them, but there is some upside, which is probably required when talking about the #13 for #24/#25.

If the Kings have a combination of Bojan, Lyles, Sasha, Duarte, Davion as expiring contracts at the deadline with 2-3 young players and extra draft capital it could be a decent package for a disgruntled player.

I don't see the point of any of this. I am actually ok with our spot in the draft. I know Knicks are gonna Knick but we do better at the end of the first than we do in the beginning and I think there are high floor guys who can step in and help at our spot which is more of what we need.

If we're going to bundle our picks for a talent upgrade its not going to be for a rookie in this draft.
Why rely on nuance, facts and logic when you can bludgeon the other side with mindless repetition of "Duuur McDaniel's has potential :tooth and still be treated as if you were reasonable.
