If there was ever a time for him to do it only once in the entire playoffs, it would be in game 5 before the pressure really starts to ramp up so they can put this series to bed

We all wish that. It’s sad that we are like begging for our superstar to act like one, and carry us to the finish line. Actually i doubt he has a good shooting game this series. He needs to tweak his shot a bit this off season. Its not a fluid smooth shot. Its looks hard and tiring.

Maybe you'll get your wish in Game 5.

One big Game 5 and JT will be the face of the NBA.

I don’t even need a big game, I’ll settle for a big moment. I feel like Jaylen has taken over a few times in these playoffs but Jayson only took over in the game 1 in OT against the Pacers. If this is a close game in the 4th, Tatum absolutely needs to bring them home. He just has to.

Actually, i’m desperate for a big JT game. I truly want him to win fmvp, especially since JB won east mvp.

My guess…tight game for a half, Cs 3s explode in third and game over

I can see it being so. It’s been a mostly even series once KP went down.

Florida Panthers must have watched the Celtics tape and said we want to one up you! 8-1 loss in a series they are up 3 to 0. I think it's sometimes natural to think the other team is going to roll over for you down 3 to 0.

Cs stealing Game 2 was the key.

This could be a 2-2 series if the Cs lost Game 2.

Could Celtics bring back KP for Game 5, in order to attack the Mav's GW/Miami like hedging zone defense that stops wing drivers, like Tatum /Brown, from getting to the rim? KP was brought in specifically to attack this type of defense.

SPECIFICALLY.

Kyrie admitting to using it may just be the Mav's downfall, if the Celtics just use the pieces they SPECIFICALLY traded for, to bust it.

Entirely possible he's just not able to go. Others would just have to step up. We've won a ton of games without him. But against increased defensive pressure (as we saw in G4), that would mean we have the same squad from last season except instead of Smart, Timelord, Grant, and Brogdon, we have Holiday, Tillman, Hauser, and more Pritchard. No cheat code. The man-zone hybrid has given us problems in the past.

It's just one game. One game by one point is all we need. If they can't do it, then they don't deserve to win.

Our Celtics should be fresh after 4 days of rest. Let's sweep these fools!

Okay, the edited snippet wasn't representative of the full quote. I still don't have to like him. He may have ended the 13-game losing streak but don't let him win in TD Garden ever again.

We've lost the non KP minutes all series. We don't have the personnel to handle Dallas's primary offense without KP and we won't always be playing 5 out.

I think this series is still over... But I think people are underestimating how sour this series could genuinely turn.

Game 5 is a 50/50 game.

.

This is silly. We absolutely BEAT the Mavs in game 2. There was no “luck” , whistles or extraordinary effort on our end. We played great defense and scored more than they did.

It’s alarming that we threw in the towel game 4 but let’s not call this a tied series.
