Jonquel is busting the Aces' asses.

She should be in the MVP conversation. She has been a flat out monster this year

Liberty actually played three quarters today, one more than their usual two.

Haha this is great. The pettiness and sh*t talk is one of the best parts of the league.

And I can't help but notice that DiJonai, Plum, Reese and Mabrey are in a lot of these clips

Jonquel obviously had a monster game, career high 34 on 12-16 and 4-5 from three point range, but I was really impressed with Ionescu playing the point guard role. She faced a lot of very physical perimeter defense, but was strong with the ball, kept her dribble alive, played through contact, and created a lot of good shot opportunities (12 assists to 1 turnover). She's not a super shifty ballhandler and she doesn't create a lot of shots for herself in isolation, but she was just really strong with the ball and made good decisions.

In the past, I've felt like she hasn't been at her best as a primary ballhandler, even though her assist numbers have always been good. Now I feel a lot more confident with her running the point. I like Courtney Vandersloot, but I also feel like the Liberty's team defense is better without Sabrina and Sloot on the court at the same time. Thornton, Burke, and Fiebich all have good size and length on the perimeter, and there are less size and strength mismatches in rotation.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

She played well at PG. I have a lot of respect for Vandersloot but the Jones/Stewie/Thornton/Lainey-Hamilton/Sabrina line up is excellent two ways and gives the Liberty size across all 5 spots

Alyssa Thomas' defense is something else. She might be the best horizontal defender in the world.

There are times when the Sun drop back into a 2-3 zone with AT in the middle. The opponent will swing to the weakside corner, and Thomas will over-rotate, beating her own teammate who's responsible for that corner, stop the shot, and then still rotate back middle to protect the hoop. She'll do all that in a defensive stance without flipping her hips to sprint. The ground coverage while in a defensive stance is just insane sometimes.

Yeah, her situational awareness and ability to recover in space is ridiculous. I would hate playing against someone like her cuz she's literally everywhere

CC is doing a bit of a James Harden. She’s grabbing and cuffing defenders arms on drives. She can hurt someone that way.

Mabrey finally having a decent game. Sky Towers headed towards double-double for each. Way to be not too stubborn, TSpoon

I've always thought her passing had the potential to be special, but her handle was too weak and teams could too easily blitz her and just make her give up the ball without her creating any advantage for a teammate.
It's definitely something she's worked, and when she is able to go distributor mode I agree it takes the Liberty to another level.
Liberty should be co-title favorites imo.

Yes there's been a huge uproar for her to start.

Another really well-played by the Fever. The Sky got a lot of things they wanted to happen but the Fever were just too good.

Absolutely.

She also has gotten a lot stronger since last season. She also doesn't panic as much when tbe defense collapses on her. I think getting destroyed in the finals pushed her in the right direction

Chennedy is crazy skilled. I was kinda pissed I scheduled this father's day lunch without realizing the game was coming on at 12

Funny as this, Indiana is now in the 8th seed.

Glad to see them figuring it out. They have too much talent between CC, AB, Mitchell and Smith to be this bad.
