Really wouldn't mind any of the Cs at 19 whether it's Edey, Ware or Missi.

Some team has made it known they will take Edey ahead of our pick, thus the interest in moving up into the lottery. So Portland, Miami and LAL have to be leapfrogged. Not much different than when they wanted Cason Wallace and OKC jumped up and took him, but were happy to take Gradey Dick. Our draft history suggests they don't like to make bold moves at the draft and just move onto the next option.

Silver is a big time a-hole.

We came last in the 4-way tiebreaker, getting 19 instead of 16. Then we don’t jump into the top 4 and lose our own pick altogether.

I guess he saw how the MLSE could raise ticket prices after putting out a terrible product and thought our franchise didn’t need to be any good to generate revenue.

LOL, but the TV deal Silver just locked up, for the billionaire team owners, was nuts! The rich get richer (and will still try raising ticket prices every year).

Same can be said about Edey, Knetch, Jaimie Jr. , Desmond Bane.

Edey just turned 22 in April

Jaime Jaquez Jr won’t be 24 until February 2025, in his second nba season

Demond Bane turned 22 right around the draft.


Your closest example is Knecht who is a year younger.

Scottie is younger than Terrence Shannon Jr.

Shannon took the 5th year COVID eligibility plus he was an older freshman. He’s 24 in July. He old for a draft pick.

Someone will get his prime years all on a rookie scale deal.

Went McCain then picked Holmes at 31

That would be a very good draft

They should turn it into an actual event, where you pick the entire draft order.

Give the top 3 people a prize.

They could also have a big board challenge (where do you see the this class at the end of it's playing days).
Every year they could revisit it, to see see who was right, and who way off.

And the revenue streams of legacy media operate like there is no sky and no limit to legacy or media. When are we just going to say this is all a rackett? The man behind the curtain is Mr. Silver. The stuff they upsell still calls TV home. Old style advertising can only blow this bubble for so long. The miracle bubble of Miracle Grow media barons. When we had the real bubble at Disney Fantasy Island Land I thought how long before we have AI fans and cowds and no one is the wiser?

Didn’t know we wanted Cason. Thought Gradey was our guy through and through. Was this common knowledge and I just missed it?

Seems far out. Also, don’t think lakers want to part with hachimura for that package. I could definitely see something involving brown for Vincent and Vanderbilt or something along those lines, specifically if edey or someone else was our guy and that got us him in the deal. Wonder if lakers would play the game and see if bronny was around at 31 and make the deal.

If the Lakers are trading AD to Chicago for Lavine, Derozan (S&T) and a 1st pick then they would keep Hachimura and could use Boucher.

Vincent was trash last year but at least could fight for 3rd PG with JFL. Maybe JFL gets moved to Garrett Temple's 3rd SG spot.

What Vecenie doesn't account for when talking about playoff ball and Lively being pulled out of the paint is that Edey can make it all up on the other end whereas Lively can't. Edey is not just a screener and lob threat he is a post bully and devastating ISO scorer who is unstoppable and will get to the line a ton. It has to be taken into account when talking about Edey being incapable of winning in the playoffs.

People think they have the magic formula for winning basketball games but Edey is a calculated swing on redefining how you win basketball games in the modern NBA if his production translates and a team uses him properly.

I'm worried that teams will limit Edey and destroy his career instead of believing in what he does. I really hope he lands with the right team.

I feel like one of the only posters here who doesn’t want Edey.

I wouldn’t be thrilled with the pick. Just because I know from watching JV how much a slow moving Centre hurts your defence.
