The QB extension thing is honestly pretty fascinating. You have four guys in Lawrence, Love, Dak, and Tua waiting the others out because they know the market sets when one of the others signs. With months to go before the season I imagine none of them are in a hurry to ink up.

Dallas is really in a tough spot. Lamb probably wants to beat the Jefferson deal. Parsons wants to be the highest paid non QB. I wonder if they have given any thought of just letting Dak play the year out and going with Lance and a rookie in next years draft.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Guessing you'd rather save for the money for Mertz after they draft him and he's due for an extension?

Well see if they end up better prospects than Mertz… aka NFL careers….Mertz will probably be a day 3 pick or at least be a UDFA on a roster next year, just like Bart Houston was..and Stave and McElroy were not…like Horni and Coan were not.

It has nothing to do with Hornibrook and Coan.

Sure it does I was calling for Bart Houston and all made fun, then called for Mertz and all made fun, I always wanted the better prospect, ranked by Rival etc….
Sad as it is, Mertz was probably the best prospect we have had in Madison other than Wilson, since at least Tolzein.

A good guess would be half that. The longer Gute waits the more it goes up.

Right. Gute should kidnap Love's fiancé & force him to sign a new contract before he gives her back.

The narrative that Gute is stonewalling for some reason is hilarious. And as soon as a deal gets done it will be "if they had done this X amount of time sooner it would have been cheaper. Stupid Gute"

He's failing if he doesn't get it done by camp though.
Negotiating isn't Gute's strength, drafting is. This board thought that Rodgers was a money grubber - reality is Gute sucks at negotiating. He always waits until he has the least leverage.
I guess we take the good with the bad.
