The amount of racist comments about Reese are insane in Twitter and youtube. Social media be showing true colors. The unfortunate thing of course being people can remain anonymous when making such comments.

And then the media making that flagrant call a bigger deal than it is.....just nasty work from engagement corps and individuals.

not sure if this post is against this boards rules for gambling/streaming talk, please do let me know if it is. i didn't see it anywhere.

i don't know if it's been discussed but the streaming websites now carry the WNBA as of this season. there's probably way more eyes on this thing that go beyond ticket sales and tv ratings. i remember trying to watch liberty games last year, finding out the websites didn't carry the W and forgot they built a super-team here until i heard they were in the finals.

i'll also say the fanduel WNBA oddsboost has made it more fun to gamble on the WNBA. have they always had this? i just find the games way more fun when i have money (very little, keeping it fun) on the games.

It's crazy that we're a quarter of the way through the season already and with all the talk about everything, the Lynx are sitting 2 games behind top spot with a 10-3 record. It seems no-one is talking about them and how good Collier is ballin' at the moment. 22ppg (47% FG), 11rpg, 4apg, 4 stocks/game is insane. 4th in the league in points, 3rd in rebounds and 2nd in steals.

EDIT - I just saw that Kayla McBride is shooting 49.5% 3P on 7.2 attempts a game. I'm going to guess that'll go down at some point but that's otherworldly shooting.

Come on, CC is being targeted and its obvious why. At first I chalked it up as old heads ushering the young kids in but its pretty clear thats not what this is about.

This is one of the reasons why I prefer the Going to Work Pistons over the Bad Boy Pistons. Doing stuff like hip checks/swing at someone’s head is not basketball. Ask yourselves, would you be okay if someone does that to you?

So easy to throw out buzzwords like trolls, racists, bigots and incels to shield Reese from criticism. This is downright classless and shameful behavior.

This is why I said earlier that this was another Eminem situation earlier. You may not know, but the W is actually a physical game. I didn't see any headlines when Reese got taken out by AT (who was taken out the game btw), or the various plays that ended up drawing blood on the A'Ja the league mvp, but the second CC takes a bump you have her army ready to go to war and toss out all the craziest racist comments on social media, and the media to paint it like Clark should be free from physical play. Get outta here

Nothing wrong with physical play, as long as the officials call it accordingly.

Thankfully CC doesn't share any of your opinion:

Read on Twitter

She is not being targeted and the foul yesterday was a play on ball where she got hit accidentally. Reese did not intentionally hit her. We're here to discuss womens hoops, not your racially fueled conspiracy theories. Thanks.

Yep and it's being called accordingly. Reese went for the ball, made inadvertent contact with the head. Textbook Flagrant 1.

Reese went for the ball and made inadvertent contact with her head. It was hard foul but it wasn't a dirty play.

Are you talking the old pirate websites? I had no idea they didn't carry W games til now

I've been hesitant to bet on WNBA games to be honest, I kinda fell back from gambling because the constant bombardment from ESPN on gambling has turned me off

Inadvertent, that’s convenient. Sounds like a Draymond Green special, and Steve Kerr conveniently says “I didn't see the replay, and at this point we’ve moved on as a team.” When someone plays dirty, there’s no defending it.

One of the most physical teams in the NBA this year was the Minnesota Timberwolves. Even when they ratchet up their intensity in the playoffs, I don’t remember seeing them knocking KD, Booker, Murray, Jokic, Irving or Doncic in the head like that and they have athletes guarding all positions.

I guess I can stick with NBA basketball since I’m too bigoted to judge a dirty play.

You know its a Narrative when CNN is covering a basketball foul....smh.

Since when did CNN care about fouls in sports.

I stayed away from reading any comments on social media cause I already knew the BS that was going come Angel Way from that foul. I opened one post seen the first few comments and said nah...Im not doing this.

Well, number 1 we know you don't watch the WNBA anyway. Based on some of the previous comments I've seen from you on the GB, I know for a fact you don't watch and your interest in Caitlin Clark is 100% political.

Number 2, there were over 45+ Flagrant fouls called in the NBA this year. Hard fouls happen. This is nothing new. No one is targeting Clark and if you watch the play, Reese was going for the ball and missed, clipping Clark in the head. The fact that you even compare this play to anything that Draymond has done, which includes choking a player and jump stomping on someone's chest, is all I need to know that you're being disingenuous.

CNN is just the start. She's been making world news for these topics as well. You don't get any bigger than abc world news!

There is an agenda with this young lady. Not sure why the media is trying to force her to the top without accomplishing anything. But hey I guess we will have to deal with it.

CC is a transcendent figure in sports, but the issue is that every single thing that happens is being taken and blown out of proportion. If she gets fouled it's suddenly a national crisis. If her teammates don't start throwing punches once she gets fouled they get called racial slurs and all kinds of homophobic crap. It's insane, but considering where the source of this crap is coming from, it's not surprising.

But what irks me the most is the infantilization of CC by these men. They act like she is some child that must be wrapped in bubble wrap and cannot be played the same way that everyone else is. She's a grown woman who has been playing basketball since she was a kid, that play probably doesn't even register on her top 10 hits taken in her life
