i don't know if it's been discussed but the streaming websites now carry the WNBA as of this season. there's probably way more eyes on this thing that go beyond ticket sales and tv ratings. i remember trying to watch liberty games last year, finding out the websites didn't carry the W and forgot they built a super-team here until i heard they were in the finals.

i'll also say the fanduel WNBA oddsboost has made it more fun to gamble on the WNBA. have they always had this? i just find the games way more fun when i have money (very little, keeping it fun) on the games.

Are you talking the old pirate websites? I had no idea they didn't carry W games til now

I've been hesitant to bet on WNBA games to be honest, I kinda fell back from gambling because the constant bombardment from ESPN on gambling has turned me off

yeah i tried watching liberty games last year and even ncaa womens tournament basketball and they weren't there. im confident iowa vs lsu, iowa vs uconn and iowa vs sc weren't on there. i think they got added like a few days into the WNBA season..? maybe right at the start? not sure, i just know i couldn't watch anything

eh, the gambling has brought me into watching more games. i'm familiar with more of the teams and players because of it. i've watched a good amount of the liberty, aces, fever, sparks and sky with a little bit of the suns. definitely can't catch me watching the dream, mystics, storm or wings though

There is an agenda with this young lady. Not sure why the media is trying to force her to the top without accomplishing anything. But hey I guess we will have to deal with it.

Agreed. The only thing I find somewhat questionable is that Reese seems to be denying that it was a flagrant foul, accusing Clark of getting a "special whistle". I don't think she had intent, but she did hit Clark in the head, and these days that's a flagrant foul. Reese is far from the only athlete to ever disagree with a ref's call though.

CC is a transcendent figure in sports, but the issue is that every single thing that happens is being taken and blown out of proportion. If she gets fouled it's suddenly a national crisis. If her teammates don't start throwing punches once she gets fouled they get called racial slurs and all kinds of homophobic crap. It's insane, but considering where the source of this crap is coming from, it's not surprising.

But what irks me the most is the infantilization of CC by these men. They act like she is some child that must be wrapped in bubble wrap and cannot be played the same way that everyone else is. She's a grown woman who has been playing basketball since she was a kid, that play probably doesn't even register on her top 10 hits taken in her life

Bro honestly I get it. The media desperately wants her to be the best right away. But these topics are just petty. She's getting more news for about how players are treating her than her actual game. It's not even about basketball at this point. It's about the safety of Clarke.

There will be a documentary on this entire situation. I can't really explain it because it's something we never seen. Basketball is a physical sport, yet they are trying to tell the players not to be physical vs 1 player. You can't make this up!

So you care nothing about "the girl" as long as she's making them money we will humiliate her just for the money.

That's the problem with society everything is about money. Nobody has any respect anymore. The media is 100% to blame for making this girl life stressful. She's being used as a trophy when all she wants to do is play basketball and live out her dream.

But money is the root of all evil... So I get the evil the media will put out just to sell a product.

It's the media and a certain political cult that is fueling this. Otherwise, these are all non stories.

And I looked at her yesterday and I'll be honest. She doesn't seem very happy anymore. But that's just conjecture on my end, but I wouldn't be shocked if this stuff is having a negative impact on her mental health. This stuff has to be exhausting for not only her, but her teammates. I'm glad they're starting to gel and play better though.

That's the thing that we gotta keep in mind. She is at the center of all this but she literally just shuts up and hoops. That's why I make sure to separate her from her deranged fanbase. She's not the problem and neither are the players around her in the league.

Yeah it was a clear flagrant 1 foul, she probably disagrees with the flagrant assessment because she was making a play on the ball, but any blow to the head incidental or otherwise is going to get an escalated call. Play on.

That's all I'm saying. If we going to give Clarke all this attention do it for other players.

BTW Angel Reese has been hard fouled more than Clarke so far. Media cares nothing about her though.

The agenda the media is pushing is everyone hates Clarke and they should take it easy on her because she brings money to the league. That's just stupid as this is a competitive sport.

Clarke would have been better off creating her own league with special rules that allows her to dominate.

Oh yeah for sure shes not happy. This is not her fault.

The media are breaking this young lady mentally. It shows in her interviews like she doesn't enjoy the game anymore. No smiles just blank stares and sad faces.

Clark is fine right where she is and she'll probably be playing in Stewie's 3 v 3 this winter as well. She is going to be a great player. The media wants to pretend that basketball is some kinda non contact sport all of a sudden. It's bizarre, but this too shall pass.

Angel literally got choke slammed in mid air. I guarantee if Alyssa Thomas did that to CC, there would have been people calling for charges to be pressed  FOH

Winning will cure a lot. Honestly I don't know how any of these young kids handle this craziness. Angel gets a -ton- of abuse and yet she puts on her brave face and pushes forward. That's why i admire the hell out of her, she's one tough young woman.

Clark will be alright I believe, but I can't help but notice that her demeanor seems a lot different from how it was before these crazy people started this garbage.

the media aren't forcing anything.

all the media care about is making money and they do that by getting more eyes to get more ad revenue. right now people clicking and watching this girl so they gonna keep pumping content out on her until people are no longer interested in her

it's not that i don't care about "the girl". the reality is she gets covered for the same reason as the lakers and the cowboys.

it's just really unfortunate that the caitlin clark saga has turned heavy into a race thing but the reality is that brings eyes and viewership from both sides. you got people watching because they hate black people and wanna bash angel reese or whoever black in the wnba whenever they do something to caitlin clark, and you got others watching because they mad at the bs and the agenda that the media pushing. as long as people getting emotional about it, they gonna keep watching and so the media just gonna continue to keep race baiting.

and no, caitlin clark coming out and telling people to stop using her name to be bigots isn't gonna do anything to stop it. i think she's handling herself quite well here for a 22 year old. she's staying calm and composed even though i'm sure it ain't easy to deal with all this

i watch a little bit here and from what i've seen jewell loyd and arike just do a little too much chucking. not really a fan of either of their games.

i actually think lowkey rickea jackson been the best rookie so far, she needs more coverage. i started watching the sparks for cam but rickea is legit. she needs more touches
